Who we're looking for...

BombBomb is seeking a Vice President of Sales to lead our new business team, partnerships and sales operations. Your focus is squarely in driving new logos and revenue. You will serve as a mentor for our sales teams while constantly driving improvements in process, talk tracks and product demonstrations. You will oversee the day-to-day operations and lead the strategy development and rollout of various solutions to drive operational excellence and efficiency within the tools utilized by the Sales team.

You'll work alongside senior leadership to execute the current corporate strategic plan and develop additional strategies as required. Your primary focus will be on improving the performance, strategy, and alignment of our revenue-generating departments of new business and partnerships. You'll lead the sales team in growing our business across all customer segments. To ensure sustainable growth, you'll continuously monitor the revenue pipeline and leads, making necessary adjustments to optimize outcomes.

What you will do...

  • Sales Strategy and Planning: Develop and execute an effective sales strategy to sell into large enterprise accounts. Mentor, and inspire a high-performing software sales team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Sales Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the sales team, ensuring they meet and exceed revenue targets. Foster a high-performance sales culture, emphasizing accountability, motivation, and continuous improvement.
  • Customer Acquisition: Oversee customer acquisition strategies to expand the customer base.
  • Partnerships and Alliances: Identify and establish strategic partnerships and alliances to enhance revenue streams. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to leverage partnerships for mutual success.
  • Sales Performance Analysis: Implement metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess and improve sales performance. Utilize data analytics to gain insights into market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscapes.
  • Forecasting and Budgeting: Develop and manage sales forecasts and budgets. Provide regular reports to executive leadership on sales performance and achievements.
  • Innovation and Adaptation: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and market shifts to identify opportunities for innovation. Lead the organization in adapting to changing market conditions and customer needs.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of sales strategies with product development, marketing, and customer success.
  • Build relationships with C-level in enterprise prospect organizations to ensure BombBomb is their trusted advisor.
  • Maintain strong reporting and accountability against numbers, driving to exceed quotas, while developing and managing motivating incentive tools.
  • Manage budget, revenue, expenses, and sales reporting. Report on sales activity and forecast to the executive team.
  • Collaborate with the marketing, finance, and delivery teams on messaging, pricing strategies, and business models for achieving revenue goals.

Our ideal candidate will be or have…

  • 10+ years of proven leadership in Sales at B2B Enterprise sales organizations
  • Experience in subscription and renewal-based business processes (pricing negotiation, objection handling)
  • Deep understanding of value drivers in recurring revenue business models
  • Ability to forecast and target prospective opportunities with appropriate sales strategies
  • Ability to monitor the pipeline, analyze opportunities, and provide competitive strategies and tactics
  • Inspirational coach/mentor to professionals at varying levels. Must be able to train and coach sales reps to increase ability to navigate complex sales and drive to increased close rates
  • Knowledge of MEDDIC or Challenger sales methodology a plus
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use data and metrics to deliver insights and drive effective decision-making
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to lead customer presentations
  • Ability to lead by example and inspire the team through active, hands-on leadership
  • Extensive industry experience while thoroughly understanding the demands of the industry
  • Problem solver with the ability to come up with creative solutions and resolve blockers
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time

Compensation:

The total compensation range for this position is $175,000 - $400,000 annually. Final compensation for this role is determined by a variety of factors, such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. The total compensation for this position is robust, including factors such as base salary, performance pay, and equity.
