The Role

Reporting to the Supervisor, SW Engineering, the Data Analyst III, is responsible for analyzing, reporting and enriching platform data. As part of the Common Data Platform Team, your work will enable capabilities for GHX’s data and analytics solutions utilized by hospitals and suppliers. This role is responsible for independently analyzing, debugging, documenting, and modifying data to ensure high quality data for the consumers.  

Duties and responsibilities (5-8 bullets) 

  • Identify patterns and connections across varying data sets to enrich master data catalogue  
  • Continually evaluate processes to create new efficiencies in data cleansing activities and analysis; and identify areas of automation. 
  • Write flexible, reusable, and efficient code utilizing best practices such as maintaining documentation and using version control. 
  • Conduct impact analysis that informs automation work and report to the stakeholders 
  • Performs other duties as assigned such as optimizes queries and procedures, debugs and resolves issues, analyzes business requirements with teammates to formulate and support design and documentation  
  • Support the design process through ETL processes using PL/SQL, SQL, Python or Spark 

 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related discipline 
  • 5-8 years of professional work experience analyzing and finding insights in large data sets 
  • Experience with the Snowflake database platform and Sigma BI tool 
  • Proven analytic skills, including mining, evaluation, analysis, and visualization 
  • Ability to learn rapidly and adapt quickly to changing situations. 
  • Detail-oriented and thorough 

 

Preferred Qualifications  

  • Familiarity with data science tools, like python or R, is a plus. 
  • Familiarity with healthcare data rules and standards (such as HIPAA) from working with health or healthcare data (healthcare supplies procurement, purchasing, logistics, or data from EHR/EMR systems like Epic or Cerner) is a plus. 
  • Supply chain background is a plus. 

Estimated Salary Range for this position: $64,000 to $86,000

The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the GHX’s salary range for this position. The base salary is one component of GHX’s total compensation package for employees.
