Summer 2026 Intern – Client Services

Location: Greenwood Village, CO (on-site & in-person)

Duration: 10 weeks from May 27, 2026 to July 31, 2026

Schedule: Full-Time (40 hours/week)

Compensation: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour (based on academic level)

Program Overview

Empower’s Summer Internship Program offers an immersive 10-week experience designed to develop rising professionals with an interest in financial services.  Our interns thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment while gaining valuable insights into our business, culture, and mission.

Each intern is paired with a dedicated manager, mentor, and executive sponsor, and will work on a meaningful summer project.  This program includes:

  • Hands on-experience with real business initiatives
  • Exposure to senior leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Networking opportunities
  • Professional and personal development workshops

At the conclusion of the internship, each intern presents their work to business leaders, showcasing the impact they’ve made.

What you’ll do

As a Client Services Intern, you will support a core project aimed at improving client experience and service quality.  Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing client survey data to identify trends, issues, and improvement opportunities
  • Developing processes to respond effectively to feedback and reduce quality errors
  • Mapping key client touchpoints across teams to visualize the customer journey
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to align service improvements across departments
  • Presenting insights and recommendations to leadership to support Net Promotor Score Improvement

This role offers the opportunity to make a measurable impact on how Empower delivers excellent client service. 

What you bring

We’re seeking college students who demonstrate a balance of technical aptitude, professionalism, and curiosity.  Ideal candidates will bring the following:

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university (Bachelor’s or Master’s program)
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Available for full 10-week program (May 27 – July 31, 2026)
  • Must reside near or be able to reliably commute to Greenwood Village, CO.  This is an in-person internship. 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with ChatGPT for analysis and content drafting
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship (CPT/OPT not supported)

What will set you apart

  • At least 2 years of academic progress toward a bachelor’s degree
  • Expected to graduate and be available for full-time employment by mid-2027
  • Preferred majors: Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or other relevant business fields
  • Process mapping experience using Visio or equivalent tools
  • Demonstrated interest in customer success or service operations

Base Salary Range

$42,800.00 - $58,850.00

The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
