Job Duties and Responsibilities
Staff Engineer-Software Test sought by DISH Network, LLC in Englewood, CO.
Design the Load and Performance test strategy for different micro services /cloud native technologies. Evaluate commercial/open-source load and performance test tools. Develop and deploy the load testing framework and scripts for the micro services and provide report analysis highlighting critical issues. Set up CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Gitlab Job, etc. Log Defects with all relevant details (debug logs, network logs, initial root cause analysis, etc) and track the defect to closure. Employ web page diagnostic tools like Fiddler and debugging Network logs using tools like Charles. Utilize tools like New Relic, Grafana, Jaeger, and Kibana for Application Performance Monitoring.
Job requirements :
Requires Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Engineering, Applied Computer Science or a closely related field and 5 years of experience in job offered or closely related and 5 years of experience with/using the following (which may have been gained concurrently):
- Performance testing tools including JMeter or Blazemeter or Locust or K6 or Wrk or Ghz.
- Postman.
- Bash, core Java, and Python.
- Debugging using tools including Charles, Fiddler, and Wireshark.
- NewRelic, Grafana, Kibana, and Jaeger.
- Docker and Kubernetes.
- CI/CD tools including Jenkins and Gitlab.
- Git.
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Employment is contingent on successful completion of a pre-employment criminal background check, which may include a drug test.
Rate of pay: $147,330.84
