The Staff Accountant/AP Specialist manages the full-cycle accounts payable process, vendor invoice processing, month-end closing support, and ensures accurate financial records.
The Feed provides athletes with the widest selection of active nutrition and healthy snacks on the market today. We use science, our experience, and advice from athletes to give our customers personalized recommendations for better nutrition. Our e-commerce platform allows customers to learn about nutrition and then build a custom box for one-time or subscription purchase.
The Staff Accountant / AP Specialist is responsible for managing the full-cycle accounts payable process to ensure accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, payments, and credits. The Staff Accountant is also responsible for designated tasks within the closing process. This is a temporary position up to 32 hours per week, estimated to be 3 months beginning immediately.
The position is based in our Broomfield, Colorado office.

Primary Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Process high-volume vendor invoices and credit memos through CashFlow 360 (bill.com)
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve payment discrepancies
- Ensure vendor records are properly maintained to facilitate accurate and timely payments
- Support month-end close with clearing bank transactions, uploading bank statements, account reconciliations, vendor credit entry, recording expenses, in-transit inventory tracking
- Maintain accurate AP records and documentation for audit readiness. This includes ensuring a three-way match for all invoices.
- Create wholesale invoices
- Monitor invoice aging to ensure on-time payment by customers.
- Collaboration with purchasing department to resolve invoice discrepancies
- Monitoring the Staff Accountant email
- Vendor Communications
- Incoming invoices
- Internal requests and reviews
- Process year end contractor tax documents (1099)
Essential Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow-up on open items and find resolution
- Ensure deliverables are completed in a timely manner
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office Suite
- Quickbooks Online preferred
- Navigation of multiple platforms for inventory, banking, AP
Compensation:
- $22-26/hour based on experience
