The Senior Solutions Engineer is a trusted advisor and solution architect for our customers, offering end-to-end solutions that address multi-cloud operations challenges in the enterprise for both government and commercial customers. The Senior Solutions Engineer will work with the sales team as one of the primary points-of-contact during the sales process to lead technical demos and briefings, as well as interact with customers to understand requirements, size, scope, and nuance for each engagement. The Senior Solutions Engineer assists with technical discovery and remains engaged throughout the sales process and proposal activities. The ideal candidate will possess both a business background to drive customer engagement and interact with executives, as well as a technical background to assist in delivery and solutioning for both prospective and current customers. The ideal candidate should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about the mission, platform, and technical requirements, and the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a key contributor of the Enterprise Cloud Solutions sales team by supporting sales opportunities and implementing solution-selling strategies.
Lead technical discovery discussions with customers, provide technical demos and briefings, lead customer trials and proof-of-concept deployments, and develop LOE and cost estimates to inform sales strategies and communicate the value proposition and ROI for our customers
Perform technical solutioning activities to understand customer pain points, create tailored architectures mapped to products capabilities, and articulate how our solutions will drive positive outcomes for the customer
Contribute to RFx activities, technical responses, and technical white papers
Maintain notes and track solutions engineering activities in Salesforce, as well as give technical and business reviews to management regarding the status and progress of assigned sales opportunities
Participate in conferences and trade shows by representing the Enterprise Cloud Solutions team in CACI booths and demo stations.
Participate in demand generation activities such as webinars, speaking sessions, and blog posts
Understand the technical requirements of our customers and work closely with the internal development teams to provide customer feedback and inform the direction of our solution offerings.
Collaborate with internal resources (Engineers, Solution architects, Marketing, etc.) to advance go-to-market initiatives and ensure customer success.
Qualifications:
Required:
- BS/BA degree (or equivalent experience, and 7+ years of experience in pre-sales engineering, solution architecture, or technical consulting in the federal market
- In-depth knowledge of infrastructure, cybersecurity, and cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, OCI, GCP, etc.)
- Strong understanding of federal procurement processes, compliance frameworks, and contract vehicles
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience delivering presentations to executive stakeholders, and the ability to translate technical concepts to business outcome - Experience in selling professional services and/or consulting services
- Experience in selling SaaS and/or PaaS solutions to technical stakeholders
- Experience working with or within systems integrators, or OEMs supporting government agencies
- Proficient in creating technical diagrams, BOMs, and solution documentation.

The proposed salary range for this position is:
