Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of the Solution Delivery Project Management Office (PMO), the Senior Program Manager is accountable for the success of all projects, programs, or portfolios under their supervision. The Senior Program Manager will be primarily responsible for managing a portfolio of complex customer implementation programs, managing associated customer accounts, and driving their successful delivery, and providing strategic execution. The position also coordinates cross-functional projects as assigned, and assumes a leadership role in shaping priorities, setting and tracking schedules, driving issue resolution, and ensuring quality. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of program and project management with exceptional leadership skills and a deep understanding of delivering results in a fast-paced environment. Requires strong program and project management skills, proven experience with applying Agile methodologies in software development and delivery, direct experience in leading the software development lifecycle, and proven experience managing key customer relationships and program details.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Primarily leads programs and reporting for assigned customer accounts and where program management is required for complex customer implementations. Customer implementation and internal projects will also be assigned as required.
- Develop and implement program management frameworks, methodologies, and standards to drive consistency and efficiency across programs.
- Provide strategic direction and guidance to program teams, establishing clear program goals, objectives, and success criteria.
- Oversee the end-to-end program lifecycle, from program initiation to closure, ensuring the successful delivery of program outcomes within defined scope, budget, and timeline.
- Conduct program planning, including resource allocation, budgeting, and risk assessment. Monitor program performance against Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and take corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and executive leadership to ensure effective communication, coordination, and alignment throughout the program execution.
- Manage and mentor project managers and project teams, providing guidance, support, and leadership to drive high performance and professional development.
- Identify and manage program risks and issues, developing appropriate mitigation strategies. Escalate critical issues and risks to executive leadership when necessary.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including internal teams, clients, vendors, and partners. Foster a collaborative and positive working environment.
- Develop and deliver executive-level program updates, status reports, and presentations. Provide regular program performance updates to executive leadership and stakeholders (internal and external).
- Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to program management.
- Conduct program post-mortem reviews to capture lessons learned and identify opportunities for process improvements. Leverage insights to enhance future program execution and delivery.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence within the program management function.
- Maintains product knowledge to increase efficiency in delivery of products.
Required Education, Certifications, and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience in program and project leadership roles.
- 5+ years of experience with software development, implementation or integration projects either in a leadership role or as a major team contributor.
- PMP or PgMP Certification required.
- ERP/MMIS experience required (or equivalent).
- Healthcare Information Technology or operational leadership consulting experience preferred.
- Agile/Scrum certification or experience preferred.
- Experience managing large programs and projects that are multi-threaded, including teams of more than 8 team members, including project managers and other leads.
- Advanced knowledge of program and project management methods and Lifecycle Management.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills in a customer-facing role.
- Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of solutions.
- Ability to work in a team environment, yet be self-directed, proactive, and action oriented.
- Participation in the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccination program as required by healthcare organizations credentialing guidelines.
- Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program as required by healthcare .organizations credentialing guidelines.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
The compensation for this role is: $109,700- $146,200
The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the GHX’s salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary based on various factors, such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. The base salary is one component of GHX’s total compensation package for employees.
