BAE Systems Enterprise Shared Services (ESS) is looking for an experienced and results-driven Senior Manager, Project Management Office (PMO) Planning & Assist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to be the primary PMO leader overseeing day-to-day program and project assist support to the PMO Delivery team, as well as to ESS staff who leverage PMO processes.
In this job, you will:

  • Provide holistic leadership, promote a positive culture, and ensure an environment of collaboration, inclusivity, and respect in alignment with the company's behaviors and cultural principles.
  • Develop mechanisms to provide day-to-day project and portfolio assist support to the PMO Delivery team. Focus on driving efficiency, transparency, and excellence across execution of PMO operational processes to ensure consistency, accountability, and successful project delivery.
  • Uphold BAE Systems and Enterprise Shared Services established project governance structures, including obtaining and maintaining certification as an LCM (Life-Cycle Management) "Train the Trainer" for the ESS organization.
  • Lead development of Business Systems Analytics (BSA) processes to drive best practices around program and project requirements definition, testing and verification activities, and customer validation.
  • Develop PMO Onboarding materials and support ongoing training needs for new PMs and ESS technical team leads assigned to lead O&M projects.
  • Develop and reinforce best practices around basis of estimate creation, project master scheduling, risk management and project financial planning. Oversee training delivery to organization around all developed processes.
  • Attract, develop, and retain high-performing, diverse talent; build future leaders through development, mentoring, and modeling excellence.
  • Lead a team of Business Systems Analysts, providing guidance and direction to ensure successful delivery of services.


Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • 10+ years' work experience with Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience.
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required
  • Experience developing and managing strategic scheduling and planning documentation such as an Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
  • Ability to assess schedule health metrics (ex. DCMA 14-point SHA criteria)
  • Earned Value Management (EVM) experience and the ability to manipulate complex IMSs to determine critical and driving paths to major milestone events
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Knowledge of information technology concepts and practices
  • Learning agility, relentless improvement mindset


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • ITIL and Agile certifications preferred.
  • Experience leveraging ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) tools, or comparable PPM platforms, is preferred.


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $115110 - $195660
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
