Dive in and do the best work of your career at DigitalOcean. Journey alongside a strong community of top talent who are relentless in their drive to build the simplest scalable cloud. If you have a growth mindset, naturally like to think big and bold, and are energized by the fast-paced environment of a true industry disruptor, you’ll find your place here.  We value winning together—while learning, having fun, and making a profound difference for the dreamers and builders in the world.

We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our Growth team at DigitalOcean. This is a compelling opportunity to drive tremendous impact serving a global customer base. In this role, you will work alongside Growth PMs to run high speed growth experiments and also partner on more strategic product work to help new users experience the value of DigitalOcean quickly, and convert them into long-term customers by improving onboarding, activation flows, multi product adoption, retention and upsell/cross-sell. Reporting to the Head of Product Led Growth, you'll become a vital part of a vibrant team that leverages growth experimentation to drive new self service revenue at DigitalOcean.

What You’ll Do:
  • Own the end-to-end design process for growth initiatives — from discovery and ideation to experimentation and shipping with conviction.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our users — developers, startups and growing SMBs — and identify opportunities to make their first-time and ongoing experience frictionless and delightful.
  • Bring expertise in defining user segments and driving segment-wise growth strategies and tactics.
  • Collaborate with PMs, engineers and data analysts to run experiments across the entire customer journey from signup and activation to retention and expansion.
  • Independently form hypotheses, design and launch experiments, and synthesize insights.
  • Translate data and user insights into elegant, conversion-focused design solutions that drive measurable growth outcomes.
  • Use AI tools to quickly build context and learn, validate ideas, prototype solutions, test design variations, ship and iterate at the speed of light.
  • Articulate how design decisions drive user and business outcomes. Champion design perspectives and demonstrate strong design thought leadership.
  • Partner with other designers to evolve and extend our design system for high-velocity testing while maintaining consistency across experiences.
  • Champion a bias-to-action, scrappy, and highly iterative culture that balances experimentation speed with design excellence.
Key Metrics:
  • New paying customers in our high LTV segments
  • Average revenue per user
  • 12-month retention
  • New product/feature adoption to drive usage expansion
What You’ll Add to DigitalOcean:
  • Experience working on a team that runs tens of Growth experiments per quarter
  • Experience owning design scope across a broad product surface area (multiple products) to drive specific growth KPIs
  • Breadth across design and research. Strong visual and interaction design skills, drawing on industry-leading design wisdom, principles and paradigms. Appetite for framing and conducting user research and usability testing where applicable.
  • Comfort being hands-on with growth experiments, fluent in analyzing and interpreting results and adept at sharing learnings to drive multiplicative impact across teams
  • A balanced approach between quantitative rigor and design craft. You’re equally comfortable analyzing usage and experiment data as you are in improving UX or defining a UX flow from 0->1. Doing data-informed but user- and market-aware product design work.
  • Curiosity and creativity in leveraging AI tools and automation to speed up how we learn, ideate, test, and scale design impact.
  • A founder-like bias toward outcomes, experimentation, and speed — always focusing on the fastest path to insight and design impact.
  • Experience at developer-first companies and designing for web developers, cloud engineers, etc. is a big plus (but not required).
Compensation Range:
  •  $92,400.00 - $115,500.00
