Solution Architecting at Cloud Elements

This role is an exciting, challenging, and dynamic position that will empower you to work on designing our core product APIs to meet the needs of our customers, who are all engineers and developers.  You will be encouraged to use your creative problem solving, resourcefulness, and architecting mastery to build leading edge SaaS applications!

More about this role:

• We are looking for someone who’s passionate about working with our customers, engineers and support teams to design APIs that truly unify the world of API’s for our customers. You’ll work within our Product Management team as an API designer to provide solutions to business problems and use cases that span 100’s of software vendors. This requires a consultative approach to developing products - you’re not just a developer, you’re not just a designer, you’re the mythical “deviner” who designs products for developers.

• You will be pattern matching customer requirements in order design products that meet needs across multiple industries and use cases

• Work closely with customers in an effort to provide enterprise level solutions that meet customer requirements efficiently. You’ll be working with customers using the largest enterprise systems in the world alongside customers using software at tiny startups. You’ll be solving integration and data transfer problems that have plagued the world of integrations for years.

• You will be working with our sales engineering, engineering, delivery, support and product management teams, so you’ll need to have a knack for talking to people with different priorities and agendas to figure out the “right” way to build APIs for our customers.

What we would like you to have:

• Must be an API integration pro with high level of solution architecture skills

• You love talking with customers and partnering with them to design solutions!

• You have been an engineer, in a customer facing role, preferably played in the consulting space. A background in sales engineering or integration consulting would be preferable.

• You know how to design API’s using REST, XML, SOAP and have used them all for years (You will be helping to build out our Elements catalog!)

• Must be obsessed with customer use cases and understanding what makes customers (and integrations) successful

• You are a generalist who has used Java, C#, Python, Javascript, SQL, REST/XML/JSON/SOAP, #whateverittakes to build things!

• You no longer want to code full time, but are willing to use your tool set to get the desired end result for the customer and know how people code intimately because you’ve done it yourself

• All of this experience has likely taken 10-15 years to acquire. We are looking for a senior level pro with the wisdom, skills, attitude, and sense of humor, to delight our customers!
