Job Description
As a Software Developer in Test (SDET) your primary focus will be to aid in supporting the Sovrn development teams by building and supporting test automation and tools. You will provide test automation guidance to developers, analyze test data to shape valuable test scenarios and research / implement new test automation tools and practices.
Responsibilities
- Apply your programming and software test expertise to design, build and maintain test automation to support regression, integration, functional and systems testing.
- Design test scenarios for complex features.
- Implementing and automating existing test cases
- Maintain and improve automated test suites / frameworks
- Continually research and learn relevant new technologies & tools
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience along with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree
- Experience with automation frameworks, such as Selenium Webdriver and TestNG, FitNesse, SoapUI, Jmeter, Saucelabs or Cucumber
- Hands-on experience with white box and grey box testing.
- Familiarity with related Big Data technologies like hadoop, hive , and streaming data pipelines such as kafka
- Strong Java programming knowledge and familiarity with web technologies, e.g. REST, HTML, JavaScript, python
- Experience setting up and executing tests in a CI environment (Jenkins, Cruise Control, etc.)
- Ability to use various browser development tools, and understand HTTP protocols
- Solid experience with UNIX/LINUX
- Innovative and able to champion new ideas and initiatives with attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions
- Deal well with ambiguous/undefined problems; ability to think abstractly
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
