Social Media Marketing Department (SMM)
Summary:
We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and highly motivated Social Media Marketing Intern to join our team in summer 2026. This role will focus on analyzing and auditing our current social media strategy and developing an omni-channel marketing campaign tailored to engage a Gen Z audience. The campaign will include diverse content formats such as posts, reels, blog articles, and more.
This position is ideal for someone passionate about social media trends, content creation, and marketing strategy, with a strong eye for detail and creativity. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in our close-knit department’s day-to-day operations while gaining valuable insights and working knowledge pertaining to being part of an in-house team who supports a large financial services and homebuilding organization. This internship offers a unique opportunity for making a big impact by contributing to and collaborating with our small in-house marketing team while gaining exposure to various departments, team members, projects, and company-wide initiatives.
Overview of Responsibilities:
Audit and evaluate current social media marketing strategy by conducting SWOT analysis (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and trends)
Develop comprehensive social media marketing campaign targeted toward Gen Z audience
Create all applicable campaign assets using Adobe Creative Suite and Canva including social media copy, blog articles, videos/reels, and graphics
Work with SMM team to schedule and deploy social media campaigns within our online scheduling tool, Birdeye, across applicable platforms
Pull reports and make recommendations based on social media campaign performance
Participate in weekly team stand-ups, content ideation sessions, and other applicable meetings
Assist with field marketing requests including flyer creation
Aid in crafting internal communications, creating additional social media posts, and supporting broader social media and marketing campaign initiatives
Required Education/Experience
Pursuing a B.S. or B.A degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising, Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or Graphic Design preferred
High School diploma GED, or equivalent education required.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have authorization to work in the United States.
Our various PFS Internships are ideal for candidates pursuing a number of degrees including Business Administration, Finance, Project Management, Marketing, Information Technology, Communication, Human Resources, Pre-law, or similar degree.
Must be enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at the time of application or must have graduated the semester immediately preceding the start of the internship.
Minimum of junior status preferred.
Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 at time of application or graduation preferred.

Strong interest in the homebuilding, real estate, and/or construction industry as a preferred career field.
Added plus are students who are involved in extracurricular activities outside of their curriculum responsibilities (i.e., student organizations, leadership roles, student athletes, NAHB student competition, etc.)

40 hours per week; schedule depends on the internship position and its requirements.
Work Arrangements: Hybrid (in-office on Tuesdays, option to come in more frequently or when needed depending on work schedule)
Compensation: $22 per hour
Benefits: Temporary employees are eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k) Plan.
Format: Each intern will have the opportunity to shadow various functions that go into the homebuilding and lending processes.
Internship may include a capstone presentation or final project.
