Senior Partnerships Manager

About Kilo

  • We're an open source AI coding agent taking on Cursor, Windsurf, and the rest of the AI coding assistant market

  • In just six months, we've reached 520,000+ installs and are generating 5 trillion tokens per month—putting us at the top of the leaderboard

  • Founded by Sid Sijbrandij (founder of GitLab, now a $7B public company)

  • We offer developers what they actually want: the ability to switch between 400+ of the latest AI models, with no vendor lock-in, transparent pricing, and a fully open source approach

  • Engineering teams use Kilo inside VSCode, JetBrains, or our CLI

The Role

We’re hiring a Partnerships Manager to take Kilo Code’s ecosystem to the next level. You’ll be the connective tissue between our product, our users, and the companies integrating with us — owning relationships with model providers, infra partners, and strategic tooling platforms. You’ll need real technical and AI literacy: strong opinions on models, the ability to forecast token consumption, and enough product intuition to influence what we build next.

This role blends commercial sharpness with marketing muscle. You’ll evaluate and negotiate partnership terms, build financial recommendations around usage and cost curves, and craft co-marketing plays. If you can speak API to engineers, dollars to finance, and narrative to marketing, you’ll thrive here

Responsibilities

Strategic Partnerships:

Manage and grow relationships with key ecosystem partners such as:

  • Frontier Labs

  • AI Gateways

  • Inference Providers

  • Cloud Marketplaces

  • Technical / devtool partners

  • Other emerging players in the AI infrastructure space

Model Access & Differentiation:

  • Build partnerships with emerging models

  • Identify opportunities for key partnerships relevant to Kilo’s developer base

  • Source and evaluate high-quality models to offer to users

Technical Collaboration:

  • Build strong working relationships between Kilo’s engineers and partner teams to support implementation, performance tuning, and integration

  • Partner with the engineering team to ensure redundancy, load balancing, and optimal model routing across AI gateways

  • Collaborate with engineering and product to inform the selection of default models based on performance, cost, and developer experience

Location: US East Coast or Western Europe time zones (Remote)

Why Join Us?

At Kilo Code, you'll have a massive impact, building the future of AI for developers. We value output, autonomy, and collaboration in a senior team tackling ambitious problems. If you're excited to own a product at a rocket-ship startup, apply now
