You will build a career that you are proud of, at a company you can believe in.

Ferguson is transforming how we connect with customers across the lifecycle—and Salesforce is at the center of this evolution. We are looking for a Senior Manager - Salesforce Marketing Platform Owner to lead the (first-ever) strategy, roadmap, and cross-functional execution of how Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Salesforce CRM work together to power engagement, growth, and sales productivity. It’s a ground-up role with long-term impact on how we grow and serve our customers.

This role is ideal for someone with hands-on Salesforce ecosystem experience who can think strategically, influence across teams, and translate business needs into scalable platform capabilities. You will partner closely with Marketing, Sales, CRM leadership, Data & Analytics, and MarTech teams to build connected processes, aligned critical metrics and integrated customer experiences. This role does not own channel strategy or operations. Instead, it focuses on upstream platform strategy, cross-functional alignment, and Salesforce ecosystem design to enable Customer Engagement, CRM, Sales, and Marketing teams to implement optimally.

Location:

This role is approved for remote work across the United States or hybrid out of Ferguson's corporate offices in Newport News, VA, according to company policy.

Responsibilities:

Platform Roadmap and Enablement

  • Own platform-level requirements and functional design for how Marketing Cloud, CRM and supporting tools (Brand Connect, paid media connectors) should evolve to support Sales–Marketing processes (e.g., lead lifecycle, opportunity influence, sales enablement triggers, data cloud enablement).
  • Near term example: Steer the modernization and migration of existing programs (ex: onboarding workflows) into CRM-enabled experiences.
  • Define and document cross-functional workflows that live in Salesforce, ensuring clarity on roles, handoffs, and SLAs.
  • Partner with Customer Engagement, MarTech, and Data & Analytics teams to support them in the delivery of integrated journeys, workflows, and automation.
  • Serve as the connective tissue between CRM teams, Sales leadership, and Marketing to align on shared definitions, critical metrics, and process governance.

Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Facilitate upstream discovery with Sales, CRM, and Marketing teams to translate business needs into scalable Salesforce-enabled use cases.
  • Help to establish governance for how new capabilities, data flows, and triggers are prioritized and deployed across the organization.

Future Capabilities

  • Translate new Salesforce features and innovations into actionable roadmap items—including AI/machine learning, predictive modeling, next-best-action logic, and CRM-enriched personalization.
  • Evaluate and define platform-level integrations and software enhancements that enable scalable content, sales enablement materials, and connected engagement experiences.
  • Ensure platform enhancements tie back to business value and use case readiness

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a Salesforce ecosystem environment, with direct exposure to Salesforce Marketing Cloud + Salesforce CRM use case delivery.
  • 10+ years of Marketing Technology related experience.
  • B2B or B2B2C experience.
  • Proven ability to define roadmaps, requirements, and cross-functional workflows.
  • Familiarity with the mechanics of building/managing journeys, automations, segmentation, and campaign workflows in Marketing Cloud.
  • Strong partnership skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, and Technology.
  • Experience working with data, analytics, segmentation, and lifecycle marketing programs.
  • Ability to operate strategically while still rolling up your sleeves to bring use cases to life.

Why Ferguson?

  • Opportunity to shape the future of our customer engagement ecosystem.
  • High-visibility, cross-functional role influencing Sales, Marketing, and Digital strategy.
  • Collaborative culture focused on innovation, data-driven decision making, and customer-first thinking.
  • Comprehensive benefits, career development, and a company committed to growth.

At Ferguson, we care for each other. We value our well-being just as much as our hard work. We are committed to a holistic approach towards benefits plans and programs that support the mental, physical and financial well-being of our associates. Our competitive offering not only includes benefits like health, dental, vision, paid time off, life insurance and a 401(k) with a company match, but our associates also enjoy additional meaningful and inclusive enhancements that are adaptable to their diverse situations and needs, including mental health coverage, gender affirming and family building benefits, paid parental leave, associate discounts, community involvement opportunities and more!
