Senior Django Developer - Customer Platform

We're seeking a Senior Django Developer to join our engineering team working on our customer relationship management platform. You'll build and optimize the systems that handle customer onboarding, account management, payment processing, and business operations. This is a high-impact role where system reliability and data accuracy directly affect our customers and business.

• Customer Management Systems: Build scalable APIs and workflows for account creation, verification, and lifecycle management
• Payment & Checkout Systems: Develop robust payment processing flows with multiple payment providers, handling complex billing scenarios and ensuring financial accuracy
• Third-Party Integrations: Design and implement integrations with various platforms and service providers
• Data Processing Pipelines: Create reliable background job systems using Celery for handling customer data, transactions, and automated workflows
• Database Design & Optimization: Architect and optimize PostgreSQL schemas and queries for customer, transaction, and operational data
• Business Logic: Implement complex business rules around customer eligibility, promotions, refunds, and account statuses

• 3-5 years of professional Django development experience
• Proven track record building high-throughput web applications that serve thousands of users reliably
• Experience with high-sensitivity systems where data integrity is critical (e-commerce, SaaS platforms, customer systems, fintech, etc.)
• Strong proficiency with Django ORM, database optimization, and handling complex queries
• Production experience with PostgreSQL including proper indexing, transaction handling, and data consistency
• Solid experience with Celery and Redis for asynchronous task processing
• Expertise building REST APIs with Django REST Framework
• Deep understanding of payment processing, financial transactions, and reconciliation
• Experience debugging production issues in distributed systems
• Strong grasp of authentication, security, and data protection best practices

• Experience integrating with third-party APIs and handling webhook systems
• Background in e-commerce, SaaS platforms, or customer management systems
• Familiarity with handling complex state machines and workflow automation
• Experience with rate limiting and API quota management
• Knowledge of multi-tenant architecture patterns
• Understanding of PCI compliance and financial data security
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and debugging tools
• Background in building admin interfaces and internal tooling
