The Position

Evolve Vacation Rental Network is seeking an experienced and disciplined Sales Executive responsible for leading our rapidly expanding homeowner sales and onboarding teams. Our new Vice President, Sales and Onboarding will embrace our mission of making vacation rental easy for everyone, while living up to the amazing culture and values that make working for Evolve truly special.

The Vice President, Sales and Onboarding will be accountable for the performance of direct-to-homeowner sales, hitting and exceeding customer acquisition goals and targets, and the alignment of company strategy. You will also be responsible for maintaining high team morale while managing to a budget. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building and leading a large sales organization. You will have the autonomy to develop a strong and diverse sales and customer onboarding organization. Strong business acumen and a deep understanding of how sales functions within a large and rapidly growing company are essential to success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Continue to grow the company’s property portfolio, solidifying market leadership in $25 billion U.S. market
  • Coach, mentor, and lead our growing sales and onboarding organizations (currently 75 employees)
  • Regularly present to our Executive Team
  • Work closely with Evolve’s Marketing, Product, and Operations teams to ensure alignment of priorities
  • Identify additional opportunities to expand our business and target audience
  • Develop data-based metrics to assess and drive individual and team performance, including compensation plans
  • Manage the hiring plan to create a best in class team in alignment with company growth goals and budget
  • Determine areas for improvement and implement the right tools, structure, resources, and processes to set your teams up for success
  • Foster a culture of over-achievement by challenging and inspiring our sales and onboarding leadership teams to surpass expectations
  • Work closely with Executive Leadership to establish strategy, goals and budget
  • Leverage analytics to develop strategy, determine needs, and create actionable insights around key issues like product-market fit, customer development, and overall company value-creation

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of management experience and 5+ years of executive sales leadership experience
  • Direct experience successfully leading high-growth companies
  • Proven ability to scale organizations quickly
  • Experience building and running high performing sales organizations of at least 100 team members
  • Diversified sales/marketing background that stretches across different customer profiles (B2B, B2SMB, B2C, etc)
  • High-energy, results-driven, proactive leadership style
  • Aptitude to quickly pivot strategy to align with the changing needs of the company
  • Strong foundation in business fundamentals and the way that sales and onboarding functions within them
  • Proven ability to effectively build, manage, and maintain a balanced budget
  • Desire to operate in a fluid environment and embrace changes as they arise
  • Passion for travel, hospitality, and technology
