Located in our Denver office, the VP of General Business Sales will be an integral member of the sales leadership team, responsible for overseeing sales teams located both domestically and internationally.  This senior leadership position will be responsible for driving the transformation of the global general business sales function to meet and exceed critical business objectives, actively develop and lead execution of the go-to-market strategy and provide strong sales leadership across a high-performing general business team. Reporting directly to the Chief Sales Officer, the VP of General Business Sales will work cross-departmentally to improve key processes and will be vital to Xactly’s continued growth and success.  We are seeking an energetic, motivated, metrics driven & detail-oriented sales leader who is adept at growing teams and developing top performers.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the leader and face of Xactly’s general business sales segment
  • Manage and motivate an already existing 100+ person global sales team
  • Provide strong leadership and management of the global sales function, setting a unified direction for the team and ensure priorities are clear at all times
  • Continually oversee performance at all levels and hold the sales leadership team accountable for driving a high-performance mindset throughout the organization
  • Work closely with the CSO and executive team to set and manage priorities
  • Provide thought leadership to develop a world class sales organization and a customer-centric culture
  • Implement robust performance measures and reviews, using data driven analytics, to drive strong sales execution
  • Attract, retain and grow world-class sales talent, understand the current bench-strength of the teams and work in partnership with Talent Acquisition to address any recruitment needs in a timely manner

 

Required Skills:

  • BS/BA preferred; MBA a strong plus
  • 10+ years of sales leadership experience, ideally in a SaaS environment
  • Demonstrated experience driving growth in revenue and number of customers
  • Strong history meeting and exceeding quota
  • Exceptional leadership skills and the ability to develop, motivate and inspire others to achieve results within a global team
  • Ability to foresee, interpret and rapidly respond to market changes by adjusting strategies and realigning priorities accordingly
  • Strong execution focus and ability to develop solutions and strategies to further accelerate growth in untapped markets
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Intellectual curiosity and a desire to grow business
  • Capacity to grow in the role and take on more responsibility in a growth-focused & fast-paced environment
  • High energy and a positive attitude a must
  • Strong business skills and analytical mindset
