The Technical Sales Trainer and Coach facilitates sales, product, and process training for product categories and sub-categories. They teach and train technical employees and ensure that they stay competent and skilled for their technical jobs. The Trainer drives vendor launch training and maps Pax8 vendor solutions to partner needs through Discovery Calls, Vendor Demos, Solution Stack Reviews, Gap Analysis, and other sales related activities. They help create sales enablement content for ongoing learning and develop formal learning plans and training programs for Solution Consultants. The Trainer works closely with the Director of Sales Training, Sales Leaders, SMEs, and their peers within the team to identify and implement training programs that support our business objectives.
Essential Responsibilities (includes, but is not limited to):
- Schedule, manage, and facilitate sales training sessions for new and existing Solutions Consultants
- Work with internal stakeholders to evaluate strengths and weaknesses of sales training programs and make updates based on business strategy and needs
- Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Vendor Success Managers, and vendors on new product launches by conducting calls, managing project work, scheduling training, and attending weekly meetings to stay informed of upcoming launches
- Observe and coach sales reps to ensure they are advancing their sales skills, product knowledge, and ability to manage their business
- Work with the Learning Experience Design team to develop new eLearning courses, including recording the training, and helping with knowledge checks and assessments; implement changes to the eLearning courses based on new hire feedback
Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:
- Sales experience required
- Previous work experience as solution engineer is preferred
- Channel experience required
- Technical Training experience preferred
- Proficient with MS Office suite
- Expertise with Adult Learning Theory concepts
- Expertise with sales tools like Salesforce and Outreach
- Expertise with curriculum development, learning management systems, and content management systems
Required Education & Certifications:
- A./B.S. in related field or equivalent work experience

*Note: Compensation is benchmarked on local Denver Metro area market rates. Qualified candidates in other locations can expect a salary package that may be adjusted based off applicable cost of wages in their respective location.
