Cloud Element (CE) is looking for an enthusiastic Solutions Engineer (Presales) to join our Technical Sales team. This position is key in expanding and maintaining our library of reusable artifacts and rapid go to market strategy throughout the sales cycle.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on, high energy individual who is hungry to learn and looking to build knowledge about presales and cloud technology to solve complex business challenges with a next-ready integration platform. Experience with API integration and a past life as a software developer is a plus.

What you will be doing: 

  • Showcase how our next-ready API integration platform addresses complex challenges with innovative solutions; own the creation of top notch demos and compelling reference environments for our technical sales team.

  • Guide prospects in their technical evaluation, execute on proof-of-concept engagements, educate on best practices and respond to technical queries throughout the sales cycle.

  • Become a trusted advisor with deep-technical product expertise; research third-party integration capabilities and contribute to RFI/RFP questionnaires.

  • Gain expertise in select endpoints, industries and use cases; educate and interact with pre-sales counterparts at alliance partners to drive technical success and expand our community.

  • Evangelize in person and online by creating blogs, tutorials, videos; attend meetups and  stay current on the latest technology trends and competitive products.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally on project scoping, enablement programs, tech tools and product improvements; take on special projects as needed to drive our strategy

  • Establish relationships with prospects and existing customers and drive the expansion of our technology footprint in new use cases for growth and upsell opportunities

What we would like you to have: 

  • 2+ years experience as a Sales Engineer, Delivery Engineer, Engineer or similar role

  • BS/MS in computer science, software engineering or related field/experience

  • MUST have proven experience with REST, JSON, JS, API technologies, programming

  • Understanding of API integration complexity and enterprise application landscape

  • Master in building technical demos, reference environments, artifacts for sales purposes

  • Self-motivated, detailed oriented, organized and pursues excellence on all tasks

  • Strong communicator with technical documentation skills, and a touch of sales

  • Ability to solve problems with a creative and logical mindset

  • Passionate, positive, honest and a great sense of humor!

  • True team player looking to thrive in a startup environment

  • Experience completing RFP’s and RFI’s is a plus

  • Occasional travel may be required
