Characteristics of a successful Senior Account Executive:

  • A hunter who develops and executes sales plans to identify, prospect, present and sell effective solutions, as well retain and upsell clients on additional products.
  • Ambitious, self-motivated, and thrives in a fast-paced dynamic environment as part of an emerging team.
  • Tenacious and not afraid to roll up his/her sleeves in order to dig into the details and change markets with next level data insights.
  • Collaborative as an internal partner to create, evolve valuable products that enable clients to win.
  • Aptitude for meaningful discovery conversations and questioning skills to effectively uncover prospect pain points and business challenges.
  • Highly driven and optimistic, who shows an extreme sense of urgency, yet can be creative and flexible.

Job Details, Essential Functions, Responsibilities:

  • Generate a pipeline of leads through online prospecting, cold-calling, event lists and referrals
  • Develop an in-depth comprehension of target client profiles and subgroup stakeholders through understanding pain points and data needs, buying decisions and client budget dynamics
  • Drive long, complex sales processes involving multiple layers of stakeholders, users and decision makers
  • Close subscription-based sales to new clients within the assigned vertical(s) to achieve revenue targets
  • Engage with key clients at both the strategic and executional level to deliver results that help them win
  • Work closely with Product Development, Marketing, Account Management, and Analytics to align sales plans for optimal go to market strategies for new product and feature launches
  • Ensure client renewals, retention, and payment through regular interaction with key stakeholders to identify product fit, product growth and value proposition discussion
  • Identify vertical market and product opportunities
  • Produce internal reports for senior management to provide visibility into sales activities

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years proven SAAS based selling capabilities in an agile, scaling and often-changing industry
  • Experience in navigating sales at multiple levels of an organization, including C-level executives, with high dollar negotiation
  • Exceptional communication, both written and verbal, with impeccable professionalism and polish
  • Strong analytical capabilities, ability to negotiate and a competitive drive are a must
  • Demonstrated strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize competing objectives
  • Superb interpersonal skills, always approachable and professional with the desire to build lasting relationships
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Energy and finance industry experience in small to high-growth companies is preferred

Requirements:

  • Up to 50% domestic travel
  • Full time position based in Centennial, CO
