The Role

Do you love leading and motivating a Sales team and helping them generate new business? Do you thrive in a fast-paced cutting-edge technology company? In this role you are a valuable contributor to the corporate sales strategy while providing definition and implementation of the plan for sales to achieve company objectives. You will play a vital role not only with regard to revenue generation and team management but also with  VictorOps/Splunk’s reputation in the marketplace.

Responsibilities & A Day in the Life of Your New Amazing Role

  • You are a right-hand collaborator and advisor to various Sales Leaders
  • You have a proven ability to mentor, coach, and lead team members to consistently make things happen
  • You are meticulous at Sales enablement strategy, planning, execution, forecasting and pipeline management
  • In addition, you will conduct forecast meetings and coach team members regarding strategies to drive closure and you will help with reporting and analytics
  • Lead the growth and scaling of the sales organization including recruiting and hiring
  • Lead key account life  cycles
  • Collaborate with cross departmental peers to build internal workflows
  • Work with Leaders of sales to strategize on sales team development, revenue growth and direction
  • Consistently monitor the sales activity of the team and track the results
  • Build within Salesforce.com the reports and dashboards needed to drive success
  • Learn from and work with marketing, support and other departments on strategy to continually improve interactions with customers and prospects
  • Training and mentorship of sales team members
  • Take advantage of the free snacks, keg, gift cards to local coffee shops and weekly catered breakfast that Splunk offers

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of sales leadership experience in a dynamic, results driven SaaS high growth company (similar to security, ITOA, big data software/cloud) 
  • Technical sales experience in an individual contributor role (preferably 3+ years)
  • Working knowledge/experience of Agile, DevOps, Software Delivery space is a plus
  • You are considered a clear and direct communicator. You understand giving and getting feedback in a 360-degree manner is critical both to your own success and the success of the organization
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills required
  • Ability to work and in a high performance, fast-paced team environment
  • Able to grasp new technology products and services and how to leverage them in a competitive marketplace
  • Ability to travel approximately 30-40%
  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Must already be near Boulder Colorado (this is not a remote position)
