Who We Are Looking For:

Faction is looking for a Sales Engineer to join our team.

As the Sales Engineer you will be responsible for technical relationships with Clients as well as partners to support our Inside Sales Desk and Sales Operations teams related to add orders, renewals, as well as first line deal support needs.

This highly visible role will report to the Vice President of Solutions and be engaged day to day directly with our Inside Sales Desk working closely with Sales Operations and partners.

What You Will Do:

  • Own technical aspects of the Client and partner relationship
  • Provide both regular and periodic technical education on new products and services
  • Own technical aspects of planning, integration, monitoring, and optimization
  • Own technical accuracy of proposals and demonstrations
  • Highlight superior technical approaches to realize business outcomes
  • Support the Inside Sales Desk to retain and grow business
  • Lead technical discussion to raise Client satisfaction measured by Net Promoter Score
  • Bring organized, analytical, adaptable, creative, process driven KPI oriented work habits
  • Produce accurate complete solutions configurations for Clients and partners
  • Produce file based collateral and documentation for Inside Sales Desk
  • Honor all communication protocols per Service Level Agreements
  • Show technical acumen to rapidly learn and develop expertise in the relevant technologies
  • Attain Sales Engineer tracks for AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, Dell, and VMware within 90 days
  • Attain Sales Engineer tracks MEDDPICC training within 90 days

What Experience You Will Bring:  

  • Drive, determination, and ability to deliver against team commitment for growing business
  • Recent and relevant references involving solutions on AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, or similar
  • 3+ years in an inside or outside sales engineering role related to cloud solutions that involve networking and storage technologies OR 2+ years as a Director of IT for an Enterprise company using cloud data services
  • Expertise in Business Value Assessments or Business Value Engineering
  • Expertise in creating and delivering cloud solutions demos 
  • Expertise and examples of coding or scripting with APIs on GitHub repositories or similar
  • Expertise and examples of educational content creation on YouTube, Loom or similar
  • Expertise in Technical Demonstrations and Technical Presentations
  • Expertise in Contributing to Technical Peer Reviews
  • Expertise in Virtualization of both Networking and Storage 
  • Expertise in Cloud Data Services
  • Expertise in the use of tools such as but not limited to Salesforce, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office 365, Slack, Confluence, Jira, GitHub, and LucidCharts

Salary Range: $85,000 to $120,000 base within a competitive OTE sales compensation plan

Faction is located in downtown Denver right near the 16th Street Mall. The office is easy to get to with bus and train stops close by as well.
