Flatfile serves as a crucial bridge between messy, 3rd party data and our customers’ systems. The position

As an Inbound Sales Development Representative at Flatfile, you will be an important member of our growing Sales team. You will be the first contact between prospective partners and Flatfile; you will build trust and rapport, and introduce new customers to our product. You have an eye for determining potential opportunities for new business, and can qualify and convert those opportunities for our Account Executive.


You'll interact with CEOs, engineers, designers, and more, as they come to Flatfile looking for a solution to their data onboarding problems. Your primary responsibility will be to guide each individual's interaction with Flatfile towards a successful outcome.


Reports to: Director of Sales

You will...

  • Initiate first steps in the sales cycle by scheduling meetings with inbound clients
  • Qualify and prioritize inbound inquiries
  • Run discovery conversations with prospects to assess need
  • Partner with account executives to close qualifying leads and prospects
  • Track all activity in CRM and related systems
  • Provide relevant information from the market back to the Product team to create prioritization decisions

You have...

  • 1+ years of professional work experience, ideally working for a technology or software company
  • You're passionate about technology and providing a world-class customer experience
  • You are comfortable asking detailed questions of partners at all levels inside and have a proven track record of turning those conversations into successful outcomes
  • You are client-focused
  • You are excited about managing multiple simultaneous priorities in a fast-paced environment

In accordance with applicable law, the following represents Flatfile's reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation for this role as:

The total expected compensation for this role is $76,000.

Sales Commission & Equity: this role is eligible to earn commissions and equity options
