Description
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is a key player on the GHX Demand Marketing team who serves as an essential liaison between marketing and sales, helping to identify and develop new sales opportunities through inbound marketing lead development. SDRs drive demand and enable sales at GHX in a variety of ways, including further qualifying leads that have been generated by marketing and scored using a marketing automation platform; managing and qualifying inbound lead activity using a CRM; partnering and assisting sales throughout the lead lifecycle, and measuring and reporting marketing lead-to-revenue success. This is a great opportunity for a friendly, highly motivated, and organized individual who may have limited sales experience but aspires to build a career in this field. Work remotely from anywhere or from one of our office locations in the U.S.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate and qualify leads for the sales organization to pursue
- Qualify prospects against established criteria prior to passing them to sales as marketing qualified leads (MQLs)
- Use Salesforce (SFDC) to process all inbound leads from a variety of sources
- Provide accurate weekly reporting to the marketing and sales organizations on the volume of leads qualified, routed, converted to SQLs/Sales Active, or returned for nurture
- Log all sales activity in Salesforce for accurate reporting and lead to opportunity conversion metrics
KEY DUTIES
- Receive pre-determined groups of prospects back from sales for further nurturing using through phone, email or social media
- Work cross-functionally to create end-user accounts as necessary, maintaining accurate lead and contact information and general marketing database hygiene
- Proactively solve ways to increase efficiencies in lead to opportunity processes
- Demonstrate initiative, creativity & collaboration through ad-hoc projects
- Become a frontline product expert and implement GHX’s selling best practices for prospect qualification
- Provide a brand-enhancing prospect and customer experience through every interaction
- Support demand generation campaigns through lead qualification, technical routing and SFDC maintenance for accurate business reporting

Required Education, Certifications, and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- 1-2 years of sales, account management, customer support or marketing experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce or similar CRM experience
- B2B technology experience
Estimated base salary: $45,000 - $70,000
The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the GHX’s salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. The base salary is one component of GHX’s total compensation package for employees.
