We are a rapidly expanding global business, currently seeking an entry level Sales Development Representative to join our Inside Sales Team with the main responsibility of speaking with potential new business regarding simPRO products and services, which will support the overall success and growth of the business.

The role:

You are a self-motivated, articulate and well-presented sales professional who thrives on assisting with the sale of a solution. You are highly energetic and have a sense of urgency in everything you do - particularly sales.  You are passionate about the brands you represent and are looking to continue to grow and develop your career. You enjoy nurturing key stakeholder relationships through honest discussion of simPRO products and services. You are an expert at positioning a compelling value proposition to single decision-makers right up to large buyer groups, as well as discussing next steps in the sales process. 

Essential responsibilities and duties:

  • Gain core simPRO software and products knowledge in order to best address potential customer needs.
  • Execute against defined calling and email campaigns to generate, qualify and transition opportunities.
  • Conduct qualification, discovery and other pre-sales activities with prospects.
  • Understand trade contracting and field service business workflows to promote product benefits.
  • Follow up, qualify, and nurture inbound requests from multiple sources including marketing campaigns, web leads and chats, emails and inbound phone calls.
  • Cold-call prospects.
  • Update client information records in our CRM.
  • Participate in weekly and monthly one-on-one and team forecast reviews, meetings and training sessions to ensure ongoing improvement and best-practice sharing.
  • Increase pipeline through demand generation, consistently meeting and exceeding pipeline development quota .
  • Develop and manage other lead generation tactics.
  • Generate prospect interest and scheduling meeting for company events such as trade shows, webinars
  • Execute personal campaigns, activities and processes to build and nurture a pipeline of prospects, ensuring a high conversion rate to qualified lead status and close a high proportion of deals to ensure above quota results are consistently achieved
  • Successfully transition opportunities to Business Development Managers on the sales team
  • Any additional tasks as assigned by your supervisor

Work & skills requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar, lead generation role
  • CRM use experience
  • Ability to overcome customer objections using values-based discussion
  • An understanding of business processes and workflows
  • Strong understanding of internet-based technologies and systems
  • Strong conflict management and troubleshooting/problem-solving skills
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • High attention to detail regarding documentation and processes
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and to perform well in a team dynamic
  • Eagerness and enthusiasm to learn 
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% and move about the office space up to 50% 
  • Must be able to constantly operate a computer, phone, and other office productivity machinery
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information in all communication with customers

Helpful for success:

  • Operational knowledge of or experience in the services industry a major plus
  • Experience working with business process software a plus
  • Experience with CRM Salesforce a plus
  • Proficient with Google Suite a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
