Ground floor sales opportunity in a well-funded, emerging cloud security company. In this role, you will be a strategic part of the sales team and will work directly with the field sales team to generate qualified new business opportunities within the fast growing EdTech market. This position is ideal for any ambitious sales professional seeking to further their career in sales with the goal of moving up to an account executive..
What You’ll Do:
The SDR is responsible for generating qualified leads and new business opportunities for our sales team. This position requires significant outbound phone calling, email personalization, researching, account planning, education of our product and perseverance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Research accounts and prospects to identify key influencers and decision makers in order to build out an account plan
Use a process of cold-calling, email personalization and messaging through social media to schedule meetings for qualification
Ability to work around gatekeepers in order to find/connect with key target
Create targeted sequences in Outreach.io to penetrate prospects in your account plan
Collaborate with Field Sales reps to gameplan and strategically attack targeted accounts
Qualify interested candidates based on a certain criteria and schedule appointments/demos for Field Sales reps
Have a deep understanding of our product where you learn the technical aspects, can handle objections, highlight the differences between us and our competitors and can ultimately walk a prospect through a demo
Work smarter, not harder by proactively managing your schedule, to become as efficient as possible to meet milestones and quarterly objectives
Familiarity with Outreach.io, Salesforce CRM, ZoomInfo, GovSpend, Sales Navigator is a plus.
A self-starter who can be given an idea and run with it
You will report to the Sales Development Team Manager
Required Experience and Skills:
BA/BS degree
Minimum two years of Sales experience
Demonstrated ability to conduct cold calls, email campaigns, and build calling lists
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Team player with solid communication and presentation skills
Ability to work independently and proactively in a dynamic and aggressive environment
Enthusiastic personality with the ability to create rapport quickly
Focused on working hard, emailing and making phone calls
Desire to grow a software or technology sales career
An understanding of SaaS or Cloud-based solutions is a plus
Have a valid US Driver’s License
Ability to travel up to once per month (some travel required to trade shows, etc)
