We are seeking a Sales Development Representative to join our team. The main goal of the Sales Development Representative is to pass qualified opportunities over to the outside sales team to close. The Sales Development Representative will be responsible for qualifying and nurturing all inbound leads for their assigned territory and generating net new leads via online prospecting techniques.

Here’s what you’ll do

  • Inbound Sales Development
    • Qualify and nurture all inbound leads with the goal of turning them into sales Opportunities for the outside sales team
      • Profile and qualify the leads that come inbound from field events, digital campaigns, and other marketing activities
      • Manage the Lead to Opportunity process in Salesforce
      • Act as general support for the outside reps to create quotes, answer sales calls, and respond to inbound inquiries
      • Manage the lead pipeline and regularly engage with the open leads in the queue
      • Create lead engagement campaigns leading up to events, and follow up with leads generated from those events
  • Outbound Sales Development
    • Identify new prospective customers within your assigned territory (Fortune 500, Global 2000, Private 1000) & create demand for the product via online outreach, discovery calls, etc.
      • Profile the companies to gauge opportunity size, scope, locations, etc.
      • Research IT titles/contacts on LinkedIn to determine the most appropriate individuals to contact
      • Qualify prospects regarding size, number of rooms, locations, etc. to pass along to the appropriate outside sales rep
      • Conduct Discovery Calls with leads to gather and document important details regarding the prospect’s scope and potential.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of professional experience, preferably in sales, and preferably in the technology sector.
  • Proficiency in Office365 required
  • Experience with Salesforce strongly preferred.
  • Exposure to Hubspot, Outreach.io, or other sales/marketing automation tool preferred.
