So what does a day in the life of a Snowflake SDR look like? Gone are the days of the smile and dial sales culture. This is not a transactional sales culture. We train and develop career-minded SDRs to collaborate with strategic visionaries within our organization. It’s not as simple as cold calling decision makers. In this day in age, it takes a group consensus to buy technology, so we work as a team to sell technology.

As a Sales Development Representative at Snowflake you will:

  • Collaborate with a team of experienced Field Sales Directors.
  • Understand and convey Snowflake’s mission, value proposition, and product offering
  • Research target accounts and key stakeholders. 
  • Manage and execute on inbound leads.
  • Drive traffic to strategic field marketing events.
  • Travel to trade shows and user conferences.
  • Provide feedback to the marketing team on campaign effectiveness.
  • Develop written and verbal communication skills.
  • Execute on a multi-threaded sales strategy into enterprise organizations.
  • Leverage the latest and greatest sales tools.

How do you collaborate with other teams in the company?

Contrary to the “eat or get eaten mentality” that cripples businesses, I share communication daily with members of the marketing team, educational and training teams, IT staff, and executive leadership. I work with these teams in a collaborative manner that enables everything from getting tasks done to generating new ideas for the org.

How does the company support your career growth?

When I started a year ago, there were only 5 SDRs in the Denver office. As the team grew, I was able to continue honing in on my sales skills and further develop my leadership skills as a Team Lead, eventually leading me to SDR Manager. Now we have 28 SDRs in our Denver office. I'm grateful that I joined a company that invests in my career growth

The Denver SDR team (aka The Pioneers) are having a significant impact on the trajectory of our business. Each member of the team is responsible for cracking into some of the most data driven organizations on the planet. We embrace risks and see failure as a chance to improve.
