Position Overview
KPA has an immediate opening for an experienced and passionate sales leader for our Sales Development team. The ideal candidate is passionate about people and culture and has a talent for hiring great SDRs and coaching them to success. You also know how to collaborate with sales & marketing leaders (local and remote) to get our pipeline humming.
The Team
Our five (5) person team is creative, energetic and highly motivated. The team is also very competitive and cares deeply about results and the quality of our outreach. We have a mix of inbound and outbound SDRs who often work closely with AEs on outreach campaigns to get us into conversations with target accounts. The SDR team is designed to be a career launchpad with team members being developed for future opportunities as Account Executives and Client Success Managers.
The SDR Manager will report to our Vice President of Marketing.
The ideal candidate will need several qualities to be successful in this role.
• Leadership. You are a natural leader who will grow and lead a team of world-class SDRs.
• Coaching. Be a passionate coach leveraging role-play, real-time call coaching and helping team members to turn around a bad day.
• Communication and influencing. Engage and collaborate with Sales and Marketing leadership in our Denver, CO and Portland, OR offices.
• Results focus. Understand our what makes our demand generation process tick, measure it, tweak it and improve it. We are production focused organization.
• Desire. Yes – team performance is super important to the success of KPA. We also really want you to hone your leadership skills and be focused on continuous improvement to improve as a leader and create a culture where people feel excited to come to work.
More specifically, you will:
• Be responsible for exceeding SDR-generated lead generation targets on a monthly basis
• Coach our SDRs (2 in HQ and 3 remotely in the US) to success. Coaching on:
o Prospecting process and messaging
o On-call conversation flow
o Lead and opportunity qualification
o Reporting & forecasting on progress
o Training and readiness to move to an Account Executive or Client Success role after 18 months
• Partner with Sales leadership to ensure our AE/SDR outbound efforts are firing and productive.
• Proactively improve processes and create success metrics to make the SDR team more effective.
• Work closely with Sales Operations to drive efficiencies.
• Report, track, and manage sales activities and results using Salesforce.com reporting monthly and quarterly performance
• Research and understand current marketing campaigns to help the SDR team execute against all objectives
Requirements
• 3+ years of proven SDR Management experience; 2+ years as an SDR within the software or online technology product environment
• Successful track record achieving targets both individually and for the team
• Ability to look around the corner – anticipate problems of a growing organization before they surface
• Polished, confident presenter to support roll out of high visibility initiatives
• Great organizational skills: can put together a plan, articulate that plan to key stakeholders and execute it to quality and a deadline
• Ability to motivate others and achieve results
• Excellent organizational, time-management and prioritization skills
• Team leader with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively inform, motivate, and organize a multi-person sales effort
• Ability to thrive within a challenging and fast paced business environment
