Guild is one of Denver’s fastest growing startups - increasing economic mobility for working adults in America, providing education and support to help every student survive and thrive in the economy of tomorrow. Our education benefits platform helps employers offer education as a benefit to their employees, and our network of nonprofit universities and education institutions helps provide every Guild student with the right academic pathway to advance their education and career. In order to achieve our mission to serve 1000s more students and accelerate our growth, we recently raised a $21M Series B round with top tier investors including Bessemer Venture Partners, Redpoint Ventures, Social Capital, Harrison Metal, and Cowboy Ventures. Now, we’re looking to add a Part-Time Sales Coordinator (Admissions) to the team.

The Sales Coordinator will manage a pipeline of prospective students, ensuring that they receive appropriate outreach and information to advance their education. You will utilize technology and organization skills as well as your strong ability to build relationships with prospective students to determine which students are qualified to progress and will connect them to an Education Coach.

A day in our open, collaborative workspace will look a little like this:

  • Collaborating effectively with Enrollment Services colleagues to learn and improve your skills
  • Utilizing telephone, text, email, chat and other tools to reach out to prospective students and connect with them to discern their program of interest and verify their qualifications for school program and benefits
  • Work with colleagues to provide a seamless transition for students to their Education Coach, ensuring that vital information is shared as the student continues their education journey
  • Attending meetings, training events, and other team sessions where your active participation and contributions will bring value to our culture

In this role, you’ll grow and expand your expertise by:

  • Taking on a cross-functional role that will expose you to the ins and outs of Guild Education broadly
  • Showing curiosity by identifying and solving unique problems in your work processes and assisting with developing solutions
  • Understanding how you can positively impact the entire student experience and assist more students effectively on their journey to enroll in a Guild or University program
  • Learning our products and partnerships so you can fully and accurately represent the options open to any student that works with the Guild network

You’ll know if you’re successful by:

  • Achieving established qualification and transfer goals
  • Developing productive relationships with your peers and colleagues by meeting deadlines, rapidly solving issues, and collaborating on opportunities for enrollment growth and improvement
  • Receiving feedback through our learning-focused twice annual Structured Growth Conversations
  • Achieving excellent product and partnership knowledge, enabling you to serve students quickly and accurately

You’ll join a team:

  • Of experts with experience in government, higher education, and private sector partnerships
  • Of learners & problem-solvers dedicated to our dual mission of changing education in America while building a successful, high-growth company
  • Committed to building a diverse, equitable and inclusive environment that you’d support every day

What you’ll add to Guild - as an individual and part of the broader team:

  • Passion for higher education and our mission
  • Enthusiasm for our products and desire to become an expert in our offerings
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple complex, priorities at the same time
  • Experience using analytical approaches to managing and prioritizing your workload
  • Ability to develop strong relationships and communicate effectively while under pressure - balancing confidence, humility, and diplomacy internally and externally
  • An understanding of the higher education and benefits landscape
  • Evidence of your intellectual curiosity in the space - do you blog, tweet, speak or read everything that’s out there - tell us more!
  • Ability to adapt and adjust as our fast-paced business often changes dramatically from one day to the next
  • Comfort working in an ambiguous environment where not every process is finalized and where goals and performance are measured and evaluated in a variety of ways
  • A drive to work hard and a plan for how you can refresh and recharge while working in a startup
  • Something else? Wonderful, we’re curious to learn more about you!
