Position Description

 The Sales Compensation Analyst is responsible for assisting with the buildout of sales compensation models and administration of sales compensation policies and programs. This role requires a well-rounded individual possessing strong communication skills, a high comfort level with analysis and modeling and an eye for identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation.  

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with teammates to drive the calculation and administration of sales compensation: build monthly compensation models, interface with sales leaders on payout validation and prepare presentations for senior management review, among other responsibilities.

  • Utilizes Salesforce reporting to track and report on sales performance, including gross bookings, churn, cancels, TMR. 

  • Provides ad-hoc analysis and support for management and Sales Compensation Committee requests.

  • Assists with the calculation and administration of annual sales quotas, including building quota models, running calculations and supporting sales leaders with questions and requests for changes.

  • Serves as a primary point of contact for salespeople with questions on sales compensation plan, compensation calculators, individual payouts, etc.

  • Provides support for automation of sales compensation processes: may include compensation statements, assisting with testing and overall implementation of compensation software and general process improvements.

  • Synthesizes datasets into easily digestible formats for management review.

  • Maintains live trackers for annual quotas, Target Incentive, etc.

  • Works with Sales and Sales Operations teams to scrutinize monthly and quarterly sales results (bookings, churn, cancels) while actively noticing opportunities for process improvement and taking initiative to suggest enhancements.

  • Assists management and HR Partners with ad-hoc requests, including but not limited to distributing compensation files, peer analysis, headcount modeling and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets required, including but not limited to pivot tables, index match, sumifs & sumproducts, importranges.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or other field requiring analytical aptitude.

  • 1-3 years Sales Compensation or Finance experience preferred.

  • Strong analytical and modeling skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Adaptable with an ability to work independently with little or no supervision.

  • Personable and collaborative individual who enjoys working with peers, Sales Operations and Sales teams to achieve common goals.

  • Strong work ethic and deadline-oriented with an ability to effectively manage a high-volume workload. Role may require working extended hours to achieve results in a deadline driven environment.

  • High proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Google Slides required; familiarity with Salesforce preferred, but not required.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
