Sales Assistant
As a Sales Assistant, you will directly impact sales success and revenue growth in a fast-paced, high growth company. This position requires heavy outbound phone calling, lead generation and qualification, appointment setting, and strong executive support to our Vice President of Business Development. As a Sales Assistant, you will need to quickly learn the technical aspects of the product, effectively communicate the value proposition and respond to objections, competitive questions, and other FAQ’s.

You can expect to:
· Execute a strong prospecting plan including a high volume of data mining, outbound telephone, and email prospecting
· Proactively manage the VP of Business Development’s schedule, leads pipeline, and campaigns in order to meet aggressive weekly, monthly and quarterly targets
· Identify key buying influencers and decision-makers with key personnel up to and including C-level executives
· Analyze prospect’s business needs, determine their requirements, ascertain potential solutions, qualify and schedule sales appointments, and move quality opportunities into the sales funnel
· Track all relevant qualification and lead management activity using existing CRM (including calls, prospect pipeline, notes, etc.)
· Meet or exceed opportunity/appointment targets via lead generation
· Assist in proposal writing and delivery
· Prepare documents and coordinate logistics around both on and off-site demos
· Maintain VP of Business Development schedule and coordinate logistics for both on and off-site client appointments and demonstrations
· Book travel arrangements on behalf of VP and other members of the sales team
· Drive attendance and schedule meetings for industry tradeshows and events
· Assist in trade show strategy, management, and execution
We would like:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or related field preferred
· 2-4 years proven sales, telephone prospecting or lead creation experience with web-based applications
· Strong preference for SaaS / Cloud or Technology experience
· Demonstrated aptitude in initiating creative tactics, conducting extensive cold calls, email campaigns, and navigating org charts to reach key influencers and decision-makers
· Positive and energetic phone skills, excellent listening skills and strong writing ability
· Exhibit drive and passion for generating new business
· Self-motivated learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
· Strong skills in data analysis & sales tools usage (i.e. SalesForce.com and LinkedIn)
· Ability to share best practices, continually improve processes and provide clear and consistent reporting to leadership
· Self-directed, proactive, and independent in a dynamic and aggressive startup environment
