As our Experience Manager (yep there was a name change. We can talk about that at the interview), you will be in charge of the customer’s buying journey. From the first interaction, you will be there to listen, educate, and delight them with the best buying experience possible. We focus on the lifetime value of each customer, and have reduced our sales process down to a consultative 3 conversation model. Which we will teach you. At Modern Bungalow, we sell as a team. You are working directly with the customer, so everyone else in the store is here to support you. 

Who is Modern Bungalow? 

We are focused on two things: building great teams, and delivering heirloom quality furniture. We have been around for 15 years in the same location. With a wonderful customer base, and a relaxed “everybody is welcome” atmosphere. We practice Retail Hospitality: It’s a shopping experience well beyond customer service. Some of our customers consider our store a treasure, and we work very hard to keep it that way. 

I’m one of the new owners who took over the store 2 years ago. We have some big things coming up over the next few years, and we are looking for the right people who can help us implement some really interesting projects.

Beneficial Qualities: Not required, but they will help you enjoy working with us: 

  • A genuine interest in people
  • Some design chops / a strong interest in Interior Design
  • Some social media chops wouldn’t hurt either 
  • Be able to lift 40 lbs. (We have to move items around the showroom, often)
  • You will need to work Saturday (this is retail after all)

Software we use: Windows office, Google Docs and Drive, DEAR Inventory system; Shopify / Shopify PO, Xero.com. Must be email and computer literate.

Compensation: We are big believers in equal pay, and living wages. This role pays $23 an hour + QSEHRA. We all take a paid vacation between Christmas and New Years.
