In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, Parsyl led the formation of the Global Health Risk Facility, the world’s dedicated insurance solution for distributing Covid-19 vaccines and other essential health products around the globe. 

Where you fit in:

We are hiring a producing insurance manager to join the growing sales team, adding insurance expertise to the sales process. This person will work on deals independently and will work closely to support the current sales team with open opportunities. We are looking for a person who leads with product expertise and will be an expert at articulating Parsyl’s value.

You will be an early member of a fast growing startup and will have the opportunity to wear many hats and work with employees across all parts of the business. You are client-centric, self-motivated, a dynamo with hustle and grit, a bit competitive, and communicative.

What you’ll get to work on: 

  • Responsible for understanding the commercial cargo insurance landscape and articulating the Parsyl value proposition  
  • Responsible for opening up insurance channels and building new retail broker relationships 
  • Develop a target account list and actively own and manage your sales pipeline
  • Use lead lists to establish contact and schedule appointments
  • Conduct prospecting via phone, digital, face-to-face - Parsyl is open to clever and creative prospecting techniques
  • Lead meetings and sales presentations with the intent of selling an insurance product 
  • Solicit referrals from clients 
  • Work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, insurance, fulfillment, technology and customer success teams
  • Implement marketing strategies to develop a strong network of prospective clients
  • Meet with existing clients to perform annual reviews
  • Deliver quota 
  • Must be willing to travel - 50% (customer meetings, conferences, etc.)
  • Report to the Director of Sales 

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience 
  • Must be personable, communicative, and excited to build relationships
  • Must have experience creating client - facing business opportunities 
  • Must have experience at wholesale or retail brokerages with either a book of cargo STP business or subject matter expertise to build partnership channels to land cargo STP policies
  • Must possess a variety of inroads to companies within the insurance value chain or a network or portfolio of previous or existing potential clients 
  • Must possess technical ability of the insurance industry, concepts, and structure
  • Must have experience navigating the insurance value chain and building a cargo insurance pipeline
  • Must have an understanding of insurtech and/or other transformative technologies with a track record of success in creative and forward thinking solutions 
  • Experience in pharma, life sciences, perishable food and beverage verticals
  • Experience delivering product and business presentations to customers 
  • Skilled at creating detailed solution proposals tailored to customer needs
  • Track record of exceeding sales quota

  • Market competitive salary with a base compensation range of $80k - $120k, depending on experience and location
