What we want:
- Be a trusted subject matter expert in our domain
- Experience with requirements gathering and solution design, starting with gaining a deep understanding of a customers current process and workflow, then proposing a future state that leverages SambaSafety’s existing integration interfaces.
- A combination of technical depth and business acumen to successfully simplify and streamline the integration of SambaSafety solutions in unique customer environments.
- Think and speak with authority both functionally and technically within our domain
- Work directly with customers (pre- and post-sale) to design strategies to integrate our driver risk management solutions to their existing business processes and systems.
- Design best practice workflows which leverage our products to their fullest potential
- Work with customer IT teams to instantiate workflows within code that utilizes our API for inter-operability
- Spend appropriate time speaking with customer IT resources to understand their needs around the our API
- Interacting with internal stakeholder including product management, technical support, and sales teams to describe customer needs, product performance and enhancement ideas
- Gather customer requests, partner requests, and general market needs and translate them into product requirements
- Leverage workarounds artfully when there is not a perfect solution in core product functionality
- Generate detailed integration specifications and design documents to illustrate product functionality including business rules, flows and use cases
- Understand and make commitments to customers based on a detailed understanding of the product roadmap.
- Participate in Strategy Sessions and make yourself available to answer questions, provide feedback, clarification, and guidance
Customer Success:
- Understand our customers goals, and clearly articulate how our solutions help deliver on them.
- Conduct and manage customer feedback sessions
- Communicate with customers on their issues, resolution and feedback.
- Excellent communicator in person, on the phone, via email, etc.
- Ability to document, communicate and execute on complex technical integrations with multiple customers.
- Detail-oriented, manages time and tools effectively, excellent internal workplace communicator
Collaborate:
- Strategize with other departments such as product managers, sales, UX and engineering.
- Provide supplemental product documentation based on best practices obtained from interacting with multiple customers.
- Engineering teams consisting of Product Owners/Engineering Team Leads, Full stack and UI engineers and more to effectively communicate the requirements for the major feature areas you will be owning
- QA to devise test plans and ensure the highest quality delivery of your features.
- Marketing on the messaging, positioning, value and benefits of the features you are bringing to market.
- Sales to help market, brand and sell your features and the overall SaaS platform.
- Leadership and Executive Leadership Teams to align your product vision and strategy to company objectives.
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s Degree or beyond; MS in Computer Science or MBA a plus
- 5-10 years of relevant software solution architecture experience in a SaaS-based agile software environment
- Software and SaaS consulting experience is desired
- Must thrive in a fast-paced, time-compressed and dynamic environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Enthusiastic and active collaborator—much of what you accomplish will be by exercising influence over peers to solve customer problems
- Knowledge and practical experience with Agile development methodologies
- Experience with:
- REST/SOAP HTTP Protocol
- Knowledge of each protocol and common format types to transmit requests for each
- Database Experience
- Deep SQL expertise
- Able to navigate backend data sources to help customers validate and debug their integrations
- Having a Data Mindset
- Understand and work with JSON XML
- Learn and explain data relationships
- Having a Data Mindset
- API Integration and Testing
- Experience developing SDK’s in Java (additional languages preferred)
- Familiarity with testing API requests with tools such as Postman or SoapUI
- Ability to help customers onboard, triage and complete integrations to our products via API and flat file
