The Role

As a member of the PopSockets Sales team, the PopMerch & Promotional Sales Manager will be a critical part of driving revenue, interacting with PopMerch & Promotional accounts and ensuring a smooth and efficient supply chain. PopMerch is our take on Custom PopSockets Merchandise (that we produce) for businesses to offer their customers for resale.

Responsibilities

  • Capitalize on new opportunities and generate lists of potential accounts for PopMerch, particularly B2B that will grow revenue and expand our product reach
  • Build rapport with distribution partners and key sales reps to manage existing business and uncover new opportunities for PopMerch
  • Effectively communicate the company's value prop, tech, process and current partnerships to new and current accounts
  • Manage and implement the sales forecasting, planning and buyer driven sales and marketing processes for both PopMerch and our Promotional Sales business. 
  • Drive proactive communication with outside partners to ensure alignment business strategies 
  • Identify and solve client issues strategically while keeping the competitive landscape and market trends in mind.
  • Collaborate with sales, creative and operations teams to ensure the highest quality product is delivered
  • Work closely with Sales Leadership to support all sales initiatives related to revenue generation, customer service, inventory management, forecasting, and channel expansion
  • Ensure that reporting, analytics and other internal intelligence and insight is provided to the sales and marketing organization as well as other key stakeholders


Requirements

  • 5 years account management experience with emphasis on Promotional and/or Custom Merchandise sales
  • Understand the impact of operational initiatives from a sales or marketing person’s perspective, i.e. business acumen
  • Ability to prepare reports and use of appropriate mode of communication. Must be proficient at analyzing data, building reporting and making strategic recommendations based on data and trends
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlines
  • Good presentation skills
  • Experience selling products and services to key decision makers within an organization
  • Familiarity with order maintenance (ERP, CRM, etc)
  • Experience managing or mentoring other sales account managers
  • Possess problem solving, attention to detail, and analytical skills
  • Self-starter that shows ownership and commitment to the job
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of information, exercise good judgment and discretion in handling and disseminating information
  • Action-oriented mindset to have an impact in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing growth environment
  • Must be self-motivated, adaptable, organized, keep a consistent positive attitude, and strive to beat metrics
  • Sense of humor, personal integrity, and appreciation for the power of teamwork
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office/Google based services
  • Ability to travel 20-40%
