Partners play a significant role in Return Path's ecosystem and go-to-market strategy. The majority of our enterprise clients utilize an email service provider,, design agency, consultant or some other email technology vendor to aid in the deployment of email. Consequently, almost half of Return Path's sales are influenced by Partners. The Partner Renewal Manager will be responsible for managing a book of business that includes Partners within the US and EMEA.

You will be responsible for helping to retain critical business by owning the contract renewal and process so an invoice can be generated. You will also be responsible for additional cross-sell and upsell opportunities. You will work closely with a team of Partner Development Managers and Technical Account Managers who are available to support you and the Partner.

Role Objectives:

  • Prepare renewal quotes and negotiate prices with Partners while maintaining a yearly retention rate
  • Own the renewal transaction to create action and urgency in closing renewals timely and accurately
  • Seek appropriate approvals for exceptions to standard pricing and terms
  • Achieve and exceed quarterly renewal target
  • Negotiate multi-year contracts, price increases, extension terms and other defined terms
  • Identify opportunities for cross-sells and upsells
  • Perform software demos when needed
  • Process and submit renewals through Salesforce to ensure accuracy at all times
  • Work to meet or exceed Partner expectations to assist in creating highly, satisfied, reference able Partners
  • Every member of our team wears many hats and you may be asked to support activities associated with other Partners or projects that improve our team operating system

What does it take to be successful in this role?

  • 1-3 years of sales and/or customer support experience
  • An organized, operationally minded person that is a critical thinker that can help shape and improve current processes to be better
  • Committed to deliver an exceptional experience that results in high Partner delight and satisfaction.
  • Time management, responsiveness and a great operating system
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the organization
  • Effectively use negotiation to handle concerns or handle objections
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with peers and managers across the organization
  • Ability to maintain a professional dialogue and demeanor in challenging situations
  • Proven skill in Microsoft Office and/or Google Docs
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM is a plus
