SPIN

About Spin

You've probably seen all the electric scooters around Denver. We're Spin, the orange scooter company. Though we were bought in 2018 by Ford Mobility, we still operate like a start up--growing quickly, hungry to make an impact, and full of smart motivated individuals. Spin is known for our consistent cooperation and collaboration--we set the standard for how all scooter companies should be! Our shared scooters are in cities and campuses nationwide, bringing sustainable alternative transportation options that help reshape cities and decrease our dependence on cars.

Spin is expanding quickly and looking for top-tier talent to help us define what the future transportation will look like.

We are looking for a Partner Development Representative to act as the liaison between our Marketing and Sales teams. This is a traditional Sales or Business Development role, but you'll focus on selling partnerships more than a product. Your role will be to seek new opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential partners in the private sector.

To be successful in this role, you should have some previous experience developing leads or relationships to reach quotas. You will use your high EQ and strong communication skills to cultivate trusting and lasting relationships with partners.

Ultimately, your job will make a big impact! You'll help us boost our footprint in the private sector and contribute to our long-term business growth.

Who you are:

  • You have a passion for something related to shared scooters. This could include sustainability, urbanization, micromobility, etc. No matter what that passion is--like everyone at SPIN that uses this motivation to work hard--you feel fulfilled knowing you are selling something that you believe in
  • You are a thoughtful person; you have strong listening skills and the ability to think through a situation with practicality and empathy, producing a solution-oriented plan both parties can agree to
  • You have grit... true grit. You can self-motivate and work independently day after day, but you're also not afraid to ask for help when needed
  • You love to work in small teams and are excited to help grow the team culture in our new Denver office
  • You like feedback because it makes you better; you're also good at giving feedback in an effective, diplomatic way
  • You either have some experience in sales or you are strongly considering a role in sales
  • You are results driven and love having goals to aim for; they keep you focused and you love the competition... but in a nice, fun way
  • You are not adverse to technology and you understand the importance of tracking activity and using data to drive strategy
  • You'd rather play outside or do an activity than watch TV all day

Responsibilities:

  • Prospect new people and accounts, sending emails and making cold calls.
  • Qualify leads from outbound efforts and marketing campaigns.
  • Present our company to potential partners.
  • Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services.
  • Customize product solutions to increase partner satisfaction.
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market.
  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) partners and Territory Managers.
  • Report to the Partner Development Manager on (weekly/monthly/quarterly) sales results.
  • Stay up-to-date with new products/services and industry updates.

Qualifications:

  • Proven work experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Account Executive or similar role.
  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls).
  • Track record of achieving sales quotas.
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce).
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to deliver engaging presentations.
  • BSc degree or equivalent relevant experience.
