Summary/Objective:
This position is responsible for proactively seeking new large clients and partnerships in existing and undeveloped market segments. Prospecting daily, building client base to increase overall company revenue and growth while effectively interfacing with multiple departments internally to drive new customer loyalty and retention is a major function of this role. Success is based on the ability to bring new clients to the Hotel Engine platform and Hotel Engine Groups team, while building long-term relationships.
Essential Functions:
- Target and close SMB companies, organizations and events across North America for individual and group travel
- Establish revenue share partnerships with large organizations
- Provide online demos to prospects and existing customers
- Perform customer visits, attend conferences and tradeshows, participate in networking events
- Serve as an SME in assigned industry verticals – perform weekly research of industry trends and current events
- Collaborate with marketing team to develop presentations and new demand generation campaigns
- Operate as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to your portfolio
- Perform Quarterly Business Reviews with your top accounts
- Identify opportunities to upsell your portfolio
- Build long-lasting relationships with clients, and challenge them to use Hotel Engine exclusively for hotel bookings.
Competency:
- A hunger and passion for helping businesses and organizations improve their corporate and event travel programs
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and activities while paying attention to detail
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-starter and self-motivated
Required Education & Experience:
- 4-7 years’ experience in Outside B2B hotel sales
- BA/BS degree
