Merchandising Assistant

Havenly, Inc. is a funded and fast growing consumer services startup, located in the heart of Denver. We offer online interior design services that makes decorating your home simple, affordable and accessible for everyone.

We are looking for a Merchandising Assistant to join our Merchandising team. The Merchandising Assistant will assist the Merchandising team in daily execution of the product pipeline (analyzing merchandising trends, getting product to site, setting up new product content and features, etc.). At the forefront of the company’s digital merchandising efforts, you’ll help define the company’s merchandising strategy, drive meaningful product assortment objectives and manage the product-to-site pipeline as well as a substantial volume of executional tasks within a fast-paced environment. Key Job Responsibilities:

    • General
      • Supports the Associate Manager and Sr. Manager of Merchandising in managing product assortments on the Havenly website with the goal of crafting a best in class e-commerce experience for both Havenly clients and designers.
      • Interacts and communicates with various levels and partners in the organization as well as with external vendors.
      • Troubleshoots problems and influences resolution across functions. Produces work that is efficient, accurate, and detail-oriented.
      • Whatever you’re called upon to do to help the company kick ass.
    • Merchandising
      • Drives product sales and conversion through tracking and maintenance of stock levels, return rates, purchase rates, among other key metrics and makes recommendations to merchandising team and takes action as appropriate. 
      • Pulls reporting on a recurring basis to inform business performance.
      • Communicates with vendors to collect additional product information.
      • Supports the expansion of our House Brands assortment. 
      • Acts as an active participant in the implementation of the site navigation, product photography, rich content, and product display.
    • Product set up/digital asset management
      • Builds, maintains and refines rich product cards to create a compelling product experience on-site. Helps facilitate clear, accurate, and compelling product pages.
      • Tags existing SKUs with product attributes and badges to enable better search and discoverability of products by both designers and clients.
      • Uses Havenly’s site administrative tools to maintain accurate product data, set merchandise promotions, and execute white-labeling initiatives. 
      • Ensures accuracy and high-quality work across the site, with an understanding of its impact on the consumer experience.
  • Project Management
    • Secures samples from vendors for photo shoots and any follow up required once shoot is complete.
    • Escalates issues and recommendations with an appropriate level of urgency.
    • Logs bug or feature tickets to inform product and engineering teams of issues, track priorities, and seek resolution.
    • Communicates best practices, follows up with status updates, and gives feedback.

Key Job Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of work experience in buying or merchandising, e-commerce experience is a plus.
  • Excellent administrative and technical skills, including experience using Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and Google Docs. 
  • Outstanding individual and team performer with an excellent track record of driving success.
  • A self-starting attitude: You work independently and effectively when directed by a manager.
  • Uses innovative thinking and sound judgment in the solution of problems.
  • An undergraduate degree from a top-tier school

Additional Details:

  • This is a full-time exempt position headquartered in Denver, CO.  While we are all currently working from home until at least August, our goal is to eventually return to our beautiful Denver office and collaborate in person on a hybrid work from home and work from office model.
  • Targeted compensation for this role starts at 35-45K dependent upon experience.  This role will also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on both company and individual performance.
