What is a Key Account Manager on the Client Services team at GutCheck?

You will be the client-facing Market Research expert on one our largest key accounts, driving customer adoption and success by providing strategic research guidance and engagement recommendations based on your customers’ objectives. The end result is confidence in our research acumen, increased customer retention, and expansion of GutCheck's footprint within the client organization.

What should you know before applying to this role?

A strong background in market research is needed. You will be scoping out projects, be the expert in research and you need to enjoy being client facing. This role requires 50% travel by plane!

What type of clients do we work with and what type of work do we do?

Many of our clients are in the CPG industry but we also work in tech, food service, retail, healthcare, and B2B. We are a tech enabled services company, holding our client's hands every step of the way.

Here is a glimpse of what this role entails, is this right for you?

  • Work collaboratively to manage and service GutCheck’s largest partnerships within the technology vertical
  • Ensure customer satisfaction goals and individual revenue growth goals are met for key customers within GutCheck’s portfolio of business
  • Lead by example through rigorous adoption and execution of GutCheck’s client-centric Service Planning methodology, scale, track, recommend and communicate best practices
  • Serve as VOC and commercial product champion for GutCheck products. For example, this role will serve as an internal leader and customer representative for the evolution of Gutcheck’s core services and/or for new & innovative products that GutCheck brings to market
  • Work closely with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams within the sales department to set a professionally directed strategy aimed at customer development, retention, and expansion
  • Conduct on-boarding activities to ensure clients are as successful in use of products and/or service
  • Oversee proactive engagement with clients to build value and ensure long-term partnership 
  • Maintain a deep knowledge of client industry, product, and role in the market
  • Participate in the successful hiring, engagement and development of Client Services Managers

Here are some things we are looking for...

  • Specific knowledge of the market research or strategy & insights field with at least 2 years experience in the technology vertical
  • Typically, 8+ years of market research experience 
  • Experience in a customer-facing researcher or client services role
  • Good business acumen and business knowledge
  • A customer and employee first mentality
  • Lead from the front - experience partnering closely with internal team and stakeholders to help with deal management and to ensure quota attainment
  • Knowledge of sales performance analytics and interpreting results
  • Excellent communicator 
  • Customer Focused - build and maintain strong, employee and prospect relationships
  • Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management
  • The ability to travel up to 50%
