BHI (Boulder Heavy Industries) is looking for an Inside Sales Specialist that solely focuses on outbound prospecting and the coordination of sales activities to support our Director of Sales across our 5 business units.

Our ideal Sales Specialist will have a hybrid of Sales Operations and Sales Development Representative (SDR) experience.  You will have a strong understanding of the sales process, and excel at generating leads, building relationships, identifying new business opportunities in the proper verticals and supporting deals to close! We’re seeking a quick learner with strong listening skills and someone resourceful who can work cross-functionally to uncover the needs of an evolving team. Often tasked with supporting presentations and attending networking events, it’s essential that you be approachable, professional and comfortable in client-facing and social situations.

A Day in the Life

  • Represent our company, with a comprehensive understanding of our offerings
  • Maximize the sales performance by establishing strong relationships and gaining insight to the needs and lifestyle of the clients
  • Meet weekly, monthly, and annual sales activity quotas
  • Generate leads and commit to customer service by building relationships
  • Schedule inbound leads
  • Adjust sales techniques based on interactions and results  
  • Perform incisive and insightful market and competitive research
  • Qualify, develop, and maintain thorough company and product knowledge, research consumer needs, and identify how our solutions can meet them
  • Generate leads and grow existing relationships, maintaining an accurate, detailed target client list and tactical plan for outreach
  • Make cold calls or perform warm outreach, putting outside-the-box thinking to work to develop new and unique sales tactics
  • Work with the Director of Sales to design industry-specific outbound efforts
  • Support Director of Sales in customization of sales materials
  • Work with marketing team to develop necessary sales assets
  • Conduct month-end and year-end close processes
  • Manage sales enablement tools
  • Support building sales/pitch presentations
  • Act as project manager for all active deals/pitches; manage internal and external deadline calendars, establish all necessary communication channels and file storage for internal stakeholders
  • Support with preparation for bi-weekly pipeline and reporting meetings
  • Support in managing pipeline updates in NetSuite CRM
  • Assist with pre/post communication for events and conferences

Here's what you need to get our attention 

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing or equivalent work experience
  • 2-4 years in Sales and/or in a Sales Support role
  • Ability to Travel (10%)

  • Client facing experience
  • Strong interest in digital marketing and marketing technology
  • A combination of Sales Operations and Sales Development Representative (SDR) experience
  • Skilled writer and verbal communicator
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Experience working with CRM platforms and knack for learning new systems/technology
  • Experience managing and supporting enterprise level deals
  • Ability to analyze business opportunities and read situations well
  • Desire to expand skillset
  • Ability to build rapport with clients
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
  • Self-motivated with strong analytical skills
  • Takes personal responsibility
  • Ability to work well both as part of a team, and on your own initiative
  • Flexible and able to work under pressure

NOT required but will definitely give you an edge!

  • Knowledge of marketing and advertising
