Inside Sales Representative - Demand Insights
Reporting to the VP, Demand Insights, the GHX Demand Insights Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for the growth of new sales within the Demand Insights product portfolio, typically targeting Marketing, Sales, Business Development (Director level and above). The sales representative will be responsible for calling on medical surgical and clinical laboratory healthcare suppliers in the United States, as well as developing and executing on a business development strategy for professional partnerships with leading Consulting Firms and Universities. In addition, the Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for calling on hospitals in order to secure data rights that include data used within the Demand Insights solution.Will identify and qualify opportunities, conduct product presentations, and close sales to deliver results against an annual quota which will provide additional short-term incentives and/or commission structures related to performance.Principal duties and responsibilities:
- Develops a new business funnel through lead generation, prospecting, networking, qualification and closing sales opportunities to achieve annual sales quota
- Regularly hits activity metric goals including making and fielding calls from suppliers and/or providers for the purpose of conducting sales presentations primarily via phone and internet to key decision-makers
- Manages sales funnel and progresses against quota by ensuring pipeline is at a multiple revenue target level, and forecasting accuracy is within an acceptable range as established by GHX guidelines
- Prepares well written professional business proposals and price quotes
- Researches new business development opportunities, establish a business plan, executes on plan
- Maintains a fluent understanding of all GHX solutions, eHealthcare market trends, healthcare supply chain, and competitive activities
- Tracks the results of all sales / sales methodology activities in the GHX CRM tool
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Minimum of two years sales experience with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas (or) one year experience as a business analyst within the healthcare supply chain
- Comfortable with ambiguity and driven to achieve results with regularly changing focus/objectives
- Proven ability to interpret data, present results, and make business recommendations
- Preferred: healthcare experience, data analysis, public speaking / presentation skills
- Ability to excel in an autonomous environment, must be self-motivated and persistent
- Superior organizational and problem solving abilities, enthusiastic
- Strong verbal, written communication skills and presentation skills (Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Ability to travel to trade-shows and GHX industry events on an as needed basis
Estimated Salary range for this position: $52,500- $72,450The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the GHX's salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. The base salary is one component of GHX's total compensation package for employees.
