Inbound Sales Development Representative (SDR)

We provide an all-in- one software for fitness businesses that includes membership management, scheduling, integrated payment processing, email and website templates, that enables our customers grow and nurture their business.

You already know the classic sales team mottos such as, “Never take no for an answer” and “ABC. Always Be Closing.” Zen Planner doesn’t subscribe to that mentality. Our version is, “Never set a bad demo” and “ABQ. Always Be Qualifying.” At Zen Planner, we’re only interested in working with businesses that Zen Planner is the best solution for, and we are happy to point the rest in the right direction.
The Inbound SDR is responsible for getting in touch with business owners who raise their hand to let us know that they are interested in our product, and qualifying or disqualifying them as a potential customer before our Inbound Sales Team commits the time to deliver a product demonstration. The goal of this position is to ensure that Zen Planner is as much a fit for our prospective customers as our prospective customers are a fit for Zen Planner. This role lies right between our SDR team and our Inbound Sales Team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete a high volume of daily tasks (follow-up calls and emails) to warm leads
- Assess the potential fit of a prospect to determine the viability of the sales opportunity
- Set up product demonstration appointments for the Inbound Sales team
- Ensure a smooth pass-off to the Inbound Sales team
- Adopt our consultative, low-pressure sales methodology
- Become an expert on our technology and our target markets
- Achieve daily, weekly and monthly metrics and quotas
- Work closely with the Outbound Sales Manager to constantly develop skills and improve delivery
- Collaborate with the team to develop better solutions to our processes
- Approach all daily responsibilities with an open mind and quickly adapt to changes in processes
Qualifications
- Demonstrate a high level of ownership and accountability for all daily, weekly and monthly targets
- Efficient in computer and software skills for research, documentation, and information management
- Confident, enthusiastic phone personality
- Ability to educate prospects in a consultative manner
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Reliable, strong and positive work ethic
- Proven success in an SDR/MDR position - cold calling, qualifying, and setting meetings
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
BONUS POINTS
- Passion for fitness or sports: i.e. CrossFit, Personal Training, Athletics, Martial Arts, or Yoga/Pilates
- Prior experience as a fitness instructor, coach, personal trainer
- Prior experience using member management software, CRMs, marketing automation software, Excel
