We are looking for a passionate, driven and curious minded sales executive to lead our North Central United States region working with key local municipalities. We're a leader in the government technology sector and have a diverse platform of SaaS solutions focused on driving citizen engagement and improving the efficiency of government processes. 

We're headquartered in Denver, CO with regional offices in St. Paul, MN, Washington, DC, and Crawley, UK. This is a field sales position. 

What You'll Do:

  • Lead sales with local government municipalities with a population above 100k in a defined geographic territory in the Western US; primarily cities and counties
  • Lead your business with a consultative mindset, hunter mentality and Challenger methodology
  • Build compelling and creative solutions for our most strategic clients, including complex enterprise level deals and agreements
  • Teach customers about market trends, challenges and issues they did not know existed, and share best practices to develop new sales opportunities
  • Work to uncover customer goals, challenges and desired outcomes to understand their business and engineer creative solutions
  • Build and deliver engaging custom presentations to groups ranging from 1-20 people
  • Cultivate relationships both horizontally and vertically through communications and conducting follow-up communications
  • Develop comprehensive sales strategy and business plans to target key accounts, develop association partnership, and exceed sales goals
  • Manage internal resources, including sales support, marketing, and solutions consultants to present a compelling case to prospects
  • Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets
  • Manage all aspects sales in your territory including; prospecting, activity tracking, opportunity management, forecasting revenue, contract management and closing deals
  • Pursue leads generated by yourself and our inbound and outbound marketing efforts
  • Support management team in developing sales strategy

  • Use Salesforce.com to track sales activity, notes and key sales information, manage opportunities thru stages of the sales process
  • Write and present quarterly business reviews to Sales Management, Senior Management, and peers

  • Participate in selected industry activities, organizations/associations, and tradeshows as needed



  • Travel about 35-50%

  • Hunter sales person; excel in new business sales and prospecting; proven your ability and passion for prospecting, frequently breaking into new accounts
  • Resourceful; ok with the unknown and capable of working to find quick and clever ways to overcome difficulties
  • Collaborative by nature and enjoy working with others, including cross-functionally
  • Have proven you can manage 30 or more active opportunities, encompassing one or more product solutions, resulting in 15+ won opportunities per year
  • Capable of leading enterprise level sales, ranging in size from $100k - $300K ARR and affecting multiple departments within an organization
  • Excited about working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and opportunities
  • Exceptional at prospecting; proven ability and passion for leading prospecting activities, frequently breaking into new accounts
  • Empathetic; ability to understand others and formulate potential solutions
  • Poses exceptional communication skills; written, oral and with presentations
  • Proven success in software/SaaS/PaaS sales
  • Experience in marketing, communications, technology, consultative services is a plus
  • Consistent record of outperforming quota in previous field sales position(s)
  • Comfortable working with C-level individuals
  • 7-10 years of progressive field sales experience
  • Experience working in the government sector is a plus

  • Significant accomplishments selling enterprise software, ERP, SaaS, marketing / communications technology, or marketing services
  • Impressive track record of C-level sales activity
  • Effectiveness leveraging partners, resellers, associations, key influences

Location

1999 Broadway is located in-between Denver’s Downtown and Uptown neighborhoods. Granicus occupies the 36 and 37 floors of the building.
