Director, Economist Solutions Commercial Lead

Economist Solutions Commercial Lead will be responsible for the following:

The commercial lead will be responsible for revenue growth of existing and new client relationships with the economist persona within financial services firms, non-financial corporate firms, and governments. Growth in the business will be achieved through new product development, new market expansion, setting the product roadmap and strategic growth, and driving persona driven sales and marketing campaigns. The commercial lead will develop and execute on a strategy in concert with the Head of the Economics & Strategic Planning Solutions practice and others in commercial leadership. This will include responsibility for understanding the economist persona workflow in detail, understanding the established and new competitive environment, and identifying the priorities for a team of solution designers and product managers responsible for architecting new solutions targeting the economist persona. They will set the prioritization of new initiatives, for both experimentation and development, in concert with the Head of the Economics & Strategic Planning Solutions practice and will be responsible for sales support, strategic partnerships, market testing, sales campaign prioritization, pricing and partnership with the Marketing organization.

General Job Duties:

  • Develop strategic roadmap for long term growth in existing and new client relationships with the economist persona
  • Interact regularly and proactively with clients and prospects with the economist persona
  • Maintain coverage of client workflows and competitive environment
  • Identify and scope opportunities for product enhancements and new solutions
  • Coordinate with product managers and solution architects to develop minimum viable products and validate opportunities in market
  • Partner with Sales to set campaign priorities for the business and obtain market feedback
  • Drive product/solution strategies
  • Partner with Marketing to identify key areas for campaigns and events
  • Support and drive select commercial partnerships
  • Creation of thought leadership to drive business growth in this space

Required Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience
  • Experience in a corporate or financial economist function preferred
  • Experience in developing new products and solutions
  • Leadership and line management experience
  • Product Management Certification a plus
  • Excellent English writing skills
  • Fluency in MS Office, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Must be deadline oriented
  • Must be able to work well with others and willing to work across global time zones
  • Graduate degree in Economics or Business preferred
