The Role

We have an amazing opportunity for an energetic, charismatic relationship-accelerator to join our fast-growing team. Like the rest of us, this person will wear many hats; you will work closely with our founders, partners, customers, and investors. Your role, broadly speaking, will be to solve problems and push renewable energy forward. Specifically, you will be tasked with ensuring that our project pipeline is robust enough to meet investor demand such that we deliver investor returns and serve our mission of enabling more solar energy, now and into the future. Your day-to-day will change day to day, but will be centered around working with our national network of solar installers and developers, educating them on who Wunder is and how we can help them achieve their own business goals. When we collaborate with partners on specific solar projects, you’ll equip them with financing options, help shepherd them to contracting, and using both their feedback and your own initiative, create an industry-best customer experience.

If you get excited about unlocking the last untapped solar segment, working on million-dollar deals every week, building long-term relationships, and owning the details that make all of this possible, this is the role for you.

About You 

  • A Strong Foundation - You have 4+ years of business development, sales, or account management experience, ideally (but not necessarily) within solar or renewable energy. A background in financial products or structured finance will also serve you well.

  • Account Management DNA - You’re well aware of the persistence and care that is needed to turn a lead into a high-value client, and you’re always excited by the challenge.

  • Hustle - You love hopping on the phone, sending emails, attending industry conferences, developing relationships, digging into the details, and hitting aggressive targets.

  • Superior Written and Oral Communication Skills - You recognize that partners have different communication styles; you aptly meet them in their medium and speak their language.

  • Force Multiplier - You have a track record of coaching people to do their best work. You are someone that others want to follow; you set the bar high and you hold people accountable.

  • Dynamic Range - Your talent in forming a compelling, data-driven vision is matched by your ability to coach others on the habits and tools required to achieve it. You’re invigorated by the idea of rolling up your sleeves and doing the daily work of a salesperson, but you also have a radar for signals that challenge your assumptions.

  • Quantitative - While client interaction is a big part of the job, comfort with numbers is a must. Externally, you’ll be discussing financial products with clients; internally, you’re on top of your team’s metrics and know how to use them to level-up impact.

  • A No-Task-Is-Too-Small Attitude - Wunder is a lean financial technology company, but we close big deals and make a big impact. A lot needs to get done in the process, and there's no room for ego here.
