We are currently seeking an experienced Director of Strategic Partnerships to lead our trade-facing Business Development team.

About the Director of Strategic Partnerships position:

We are looking for a Director of Strategic Partnerships to lead the team focused on growing our trade-facing partnerships across all verticals for the HomeAdvisor and Angie’s List brands. Example partners include building material manufacturers, franchises, national home service brands and trade associations.

About the Business Development Team:

The Business Development team is responsible for creating high level programs that increase service professional acquisition into the Angie’s List and HomeAdvisor networks. Additionally, the team is responsible for revenue streams coming from larger corporate partnerships and industry sponsorship programs. This is a huge opportunity to be part of a dynamic team that plays a pivotal role in the overall growth plans of the company.

Team responsibilities:

  • Grow service professional acquisition through strategic partnerships
  • Grow revenue with prospective corporate partners
  • Grow revenue and support category sponsorship partnerships
  • Manage the setting up of new accounts with contract creation and CRM account creation
  • Proactively seek and evaluate new innovative opportunities for growth
  • Travel to trade shows to prospect new partners and cultivate existing relationships
  • Travel to regional events with prospect and/or existing partners
  • Establish monthly targets; monitor & optimize sales pipelines

Desired Experience & Personality

  • Bachelor’s degree with focus in Marketing, Business, or related field
  • 5 years’ experience managing and optimizing sales pipelines
  • 3 years experience managing people 
  • Ability to creatively structure product and marketing integrations with partners
  • Define key partnership terms and parameters with business, legal, product, and technical teams
  • Lead cross-functional efforts that include working with Product, Technology/Engineering, and Senior Leadership
  • Evaluate economic and strategic costs and benefits of partnerships, and work with appropriate stakeholders across HomeAdvisor & Angie’s List to effectively create a business case
  • Stay up-to-date with all competitive intelligence and use this knowledge to help integrate HomeAdvisor products with partners in a creative way
  • Prepare and present business reviews to the senior leadership team and others regarding progress and roadblock
