Director of Sales

Over the last 5 years, AdCellerant has grown from a few founders to a team of 75 talented, hard-working individuals leading the industry in supporting local marketers. This team helps execute sophisticated digital advertising campaigns in Programmatic, Native, Video, Mobile, Search Engine Marketing, Email, and Search Engine Optimization.
Now active in 5 countries and over 300 markets, the AdCellerant team is looking to hire a Director of Sales to help strategically guide and execute the team’s 2020 budget initiatives. The Director of Sales will be responsible for co-managing the team alongside the VP of Sales, managing strategic advertising initiatives, and delivering on business objectives tied to revenue growth. This individual will be a self-starter, hard worker, and collaborator who drives strategic revenue growth among our partners and advertisers. AdCellerant is focused on growing more than 4x over the next 3 years and the Director of Sales will play a key role in how the company evolves moving forward.
Job Responsibilities
- Strategy: Work with the VP of Sales to develop and implement current and new sales plans to grow revenue among our 250+ resale partners.
- Execution: Work with Account Managers to execute sales plans that align with the team’s budget, including strategic digital advertising proposals, in-market visits, and training for our partners. Assist in managing and coaching our sales team, including account managers and account coordinators.
- Account Management: This position will be responsible for overseeing channels sales partners and advertisers through our account management team. Duties will include offering strategic support, analysis and customer services where needed to retain and drive revenue.
- Communication: Internal communication with the team will be a crucial responsibility of this role to ensure the team is clear on its goals and strategic plans to drive revenue through our partner resellers. External communication will include maintaining and elevating our standards of superior customer service, presenting complicated digital advertising information in an easy-to-understand format for our partners, their clients, and the public.
- Digital Training & Seminars: This role will participate in planning, building and delivering strategic digital advertising training and seminars. Both sales and product training will be a part of this role, primarily via conference webinar, but also in person during an in-market visit. Effective and engaging public speaking is also part of this role, including the delivery of seminar and lecture-style digital advertising trends and information in front of small and large audiences.
- Reporting: Providing status updates to the VP of Sales weekly and providing quarterly business updates for partners, the team and its platinum-level advertisers.

- Troubleshooting: When problems arise, it will be necessary to perform troubleshooting steps to ensure that issues are properly resolved. Also, it will be part of your responsibility to document best practices so if the same issue arises in the future the team is better prepared to handle it.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of working and communicating with clients and internal customers focused on digital marketing, data, operations and/or advertising performance conversations
- 5+ years in a sales or sales management role at a digital advertising company preferred
- Proven sales executive experience, meeting or exceeding targets
- Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
- Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of digital products and services
- Proven ability to position products against competitors
- Demonstrable experience developing client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- BA/BS degree or equivalent
