As a Brisbane based software house with operations throughout Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States, simPRO has developed an industry leading cloud software package to provide job & field service management software to various vertical industries, specifically within the trade and service sectors - direct to SMEs and corporate.

As a rapidly expanding global business, we are currently seeking a successful, energetic Sales Director to lead and mentor a sales team in promoting and selling our simPRO Software Suite and be part of our US Leadership Team. You will lead a team of Business Development Managers in new sales opportunities throughout assigned geographic territories and be responsible for maximizing revenue generation for the simPRO products through their team.

This role reports directly to the President, simPRO US.

This position will lead our team of over 14 (and growing rapidly) Business Development Managers (“BDM”).  These are outside sales reps located throughout the US in CO, CA, FL, TX, PA, IL, OH and NY. Our US Corporate Headquarters is located in Broomfield, CO, where this Leadership role will be expected to spend majority of the time, when not traveling in the field with BDMs.  Our Sales Team will experience significant growth under the leadership of the Sales Director. This position will be expected to travel throughout the US to mentor/coach/train our team of BDMs.

About you

You will have extensive sales and management experience building and leading local and remote sales teams ideally within the trade services industry or software solutions space.  Your strong and successful sales track record shows you provide mentorship and ongoing training to produce a winning team.  You are an expert at positioning benefits and business value to all internal and external clients as well as the ability to support your team to overcome objections and close sales. You enjoy building and nurturing key stakeholder relationships in the trade services space to continue to build the brand and create valuable partnerships. You are a confident and experienced negotiator. You have a proven track record of over achievement.

Responsibilities:

  • Coach and manage the activities of the Business Development Managers teams within assigned regions to ensure that company revenue goals and objectives are exceeded.
  • Develop and execute on a business plan to expand business into new accounts throughout the United States.
  • Coordinate and manage weekly and monthly one-on-one and team forecast and pipeline reviews, meetings and training sessions to ensure ongoing improvement and best-practice sharing.
  • Managing daily and weekly activities, pipelines, forecasts and close deals to ensure above quota results based on successful pipeline management.
  • Attract, hire, on-board and retain top sales talent, and manage attrition.
  • Display a thorough understanding of business needs and revenue potential for accounts in the assigned region.
  • Work with team members individually as needed while always promoting a healthy team environment.
  • Supporting the sales team in their sales meetings with prospects as needed.
  • Generate leads from industry trade shows, associations and regional networking events.
  • Communicate regularly with upper management on the status of sales and the sales team and align sales to business goals.

Skills & Attributes

  • You will have at least 5-7 years of business development and sales management experience, with a focus on solutions sales.
  • You have a proven track record as a Sales Leader, growing and mentoring a sales team
  • You come from the field management, job management, trades industry. 
  • Proven track record in a leadership capacity with an outside sales team.
  • A background within the trade contractor and or software sales environment is advantageous.
  • A proactive and strategic thinker in your approach.
  • You will thrive on over achievement, team success, motivating people and contributing to the growth of the business.
  • An innate 'can do' attitude and a flexibility to change.
  • You will be outcome driven with the ability to assist and provide sales teams with solutions key to the team's success.
  • As a highly articulate and well-presented individual, you represent your employer with pride.
  • You are a natural leader and mentor.
  • Experience in setting best training practices of sales methodologies.
  • Excellent written and oral capabilities.
  • You love to have fun leading teams and are known for building teams that want to “win for you”.
  • Prior experience navigating Salesforce.
